I'm building a generic panel radios, and I have the frequency of NAV and COM assigned to one encoder, and data output to an LED module 7seg.
What not to do, with a rotating 2-position, when in position 1, the NAV values are displayed on the LED module 7SEG and when in position 2, is shown with the LED module 7seg provided therein 7seg LED module.

I hope your help and congratulate you for the great work you're doing, I'm starting and I love your system.

Regards
Oscar.

Same question here... I am planning of building a Bendix King KDI572 Dme indicator which uses the same display to show DME1 and DME2 but you have to choose using a rotary knob..

Hi Guys,

just as an idea from my office computer: how about defining a pre-condition for the display-output (you will need two output lines for sure)?

If rotary switch is in position 1 - then activate DME1 on output xy
if rotary switch is in position 2 - then activate DME2 on output xy

I think that should work.

Stephan

Hey Guys... Thats explaned in multiple Topics..... Please search for it.

Basic Technic....
You Create a Input Config with a Switch..... For Example a ON OFF Switch,
This Input Config write a CUSTOM OFFSET..... For Example 66C0.... In ON Position it write 1 in OFF Position it write 0 for example.

Then you Create 2 OUTPUT Configs for the SAME Display.... One for Function1.... Another for Function2.
Now you create a Output Config ( Without device) that read out the Custom Offset , that you write with the Switch.
Then you add each Display Config a Precondition....
The First Config " Only Work if Custom Offset=1"
The Second "Only Work if Custom Offset = 0"

Finsih.... The Display Show Function 1 if Switch is in ON Postiton or it shows Function 2 if switch is in OFF Position.

Look here please ..... https://www.mobiflight.com/forum/topic/652.html
Not exact what you need, but it shows the using of Custom Offsets !
Good Luck !
