Hi,
I'm building the FCU for my cockpit but I don't know how to display dash ("-----") with the 7 segments display.

Does anyone know how to do it ? Or is it even possible ?

welcome to MobiFlight.

The deletion of characters is through the use of spaces, also called blanks.
Whether that also with "-----", I dare to doubt, unless you change the hardware structure.

Here's how to do it. There is also an explanation on how to teach Mobiflight.
Normally, the MAX7219 can only represent the digits 0-9 and the minus sign (in BCD-Mode - that would be an approach). In the thread is described how to do it with blanks, maybe it is synonymous with minus sign. Read it through and try it out.
