Hello everyone,

I am about the build my own pedestal panel by using arduino and mobiflight.

For the enthusiasts looking forward to build a cockpit as the real one, the type of the push buttons and the encoders, switches etc, are also very important.

I want to give some suggestions about dual encoders,

I had many searches about it and found that the best applicable one will be "Grayhill 62H3030-H0-P", although the price is in a bit high level.
Because, no such others giving the same opportunities like this one,

It generates "12 detent and 12 pulse", thus you are not gonna get in trouble with dealing rotational problem "1:1"
It also has 30 degree rotatioanl angle, like in real aircrafs. (The manufacturer supplies it to avionics parts, directly)
(Nevertheless, ı dont know the meaning of 2 bit quadrature type of encoder and not sure about working compatible with mobiflight or ard. MEGA :)

The site is:

I am gonna try it in the next 2 weeks and share my ideas.
Still,
İf there is anyone who sees a prbolem with my thought, please let me know.

Thanks.
Regards.

Pretty shure this will work....

But the Price is high..... thats why lots of people swap to a self build technic (there a Dual encoder only cost maby 3-5 US$ )
Here you need some skills and equipment to do that.

Question is... What aircraft you plan..... If you only need Dual Encoder then its no problem..... But for example a Boeing 737.... Here you MUST build lots of Dual/Tribble switches yourself ( Cause they not exist on market to buy premade) .... In that case you already got technic and material..... then its just a bit more time to build this Switches youreself, too and save a lot of money !
Good Luck !
