Hey,
Lets say I wanna switch between LCD display data, currently I can do so only by reading outputs data. My idea is that I can use a rotary switch to change what data is displayed so probably can be done by an input as a precondition. Any chance to include this in a future update?

Nevermind, it can be done by using FSUIPC's free offset. You simply use the button to write into the free offset and then make the reading as precondition.

You got it !

With this technic you can make a SET or a TOGGLE function.

Exmaple: Switch between 4 Functions

With a Rotary switch for example you can define for 4 Positions 4 Different Numbers.... POS1 send "0" to the Custom Offset.... POS2 send "1" .... POS3 send "2" ... POS4 send "3"
Then your Display got Preconditions as you know already.

Same can be done with a simple Push button, too.
Here you need a "IF Function"
For a 2 Function switching it´s verry easy.... if($=0,1,0) Means every Button Push toggle between 0 or 1 .
For 4 Functions like above you need for example if($<=3,$+1,0) Here every Push will increase the Offset by 1 but will change from 3 to 0 again ( So we get no overdrive and function worke endless)

**************

Final Note....
We know this is much more profitable if we would can "Read" a Switch Position in the Config.... So we not need to use a Custom Offset write.
THAT is currently in "Brainstorming" Status for a release "wide" in the future. Sebastian not script it already..... But we just think about this as a new feature !
Good Luck !
