Hello everyone, I would like to know which offset should I use for servo start switch engines on my overhead with the pmdg 737 and fsx sw.

Best regards

Hi

For the INPUT you need no Offset... You need a EventID...

Look here.... http://myhomecockpit.de/PMDG_737NGX_EVENT_IDs_SP1d.pdf

Its in the OVHD LIGHTS Section
69751 ..... 69753
Parameter are 0,1,2,3, if i remember correct.
Good Luck !

Thanks for the reply, but I would need to offset the output and not for input ,beacause would I drive a servo motor to return the engine ignition knob 1 to the off position after his departure.

Best regards

Oh my apollogy.... I overread this part.

Take care... This is a little difficult Part via Mobiflight, cause Mobi not support a "WAIT" or "SLEEP" command.
So it´s not posible to say a Servo should do something if Offset xyz =1 and should RESET after for example 2 Seconds. the tricky part was to manage this Reset with a existing Offset ( and without a fixed timeline).

Also please note there are lots of different systems for that... A Servo that turn the Real switch with a mechanic metalstripe.... A elcetromagnetic Plug or maby a spring that loaded by turning the switch to GRD and that shoot out the switch back when it is in Off Psoition again in the sim.
Every technic will need another software solution.

********
Basicly your needed OUTPUT Offsets are ...
iconQuote:

Offset: 64FC Size 2 BYTE (x 2) ENG_StartSelector(2) Values: 0: GRD 1: OFF 2: CONT 3: FLT

This Means 64FC (1 Byte) is Left selector and 64FD (1 Byte) is Right selector.

******
I remeber i do this already some time ago for a Mobiflight User from Turkey.....
For the Reset we use in the past a Custom Offset, too.

Here is the full topic we talk about that.... On Page 2 i post the final solution. ( For a Servo based Reset system with ONE Servo for both switches)
https://www.mobiflight.com/forum/topic/367.html?page=1

*********
Finaly i think this was ok and work for him... But it´s not Perfect. I not try out myself but a solution with a electromagnetic system should be the best i think !
Simply ask if you need more information !
Good Luck !

Thank's a lot Pitzmann for your reply,

can you write the step by step process? Or can you send your mobiflight save file? Honestly, I can't understand the logic.

My mail is magicguru@virgilio.it
