How to wire a push button for hdg select which:
When you press, you activate the hdg
When we press again we deactivate the hdg
I use the following event 70024 with only parameter 0 or 1

How to simulate an auto maintains

I found I use the following event

536870912 for pushing the button
and 131072 for release of the button

FIRST:

Please write ALWAYS in a Request your used Aircraft.... Myself i work with PMDG so i see EventID 70024 is for the 737NGX...
But other Users not see this and can´t help you.... And Myself i can´t rember from 100 Users here what Aircraft Addon they are using..

PMDG works most time with Mouse Actions ( Only the Multi Position rotary Switches work with a real value)

So if you like to config a switch simply go in the Virtual PMDG Cockpit and use the Button with your Mouse! If you put the button on for example with a LEFT SINGLE CLICK then use as Parameter the Number for LeftSingleClick....
EventID Number define the used Function.... Paramter define the used Mouse Action

This workes for 95% of Inputs.... For the others you normaly use Values... For example the EFIS Mode Selector got 4 Positions... APP,VOR,MAP and PLAN ... Here it is numbered 0,1,2,3 ..... To set this Rotary Switch in Position APP for example Parameter is "0" for PLAN parameter would be "3"

For the HDG SELECT Button the Technic is like i say.... You controll it in virtual Cockpit simple with a LeftSingle by the Mouse...
So Use ON PRESS EventID 70024 Paramter 536870912 ( Left Single)
You NOT need a On Release here normaly cause a Left Single include the Release (131072) THIS RELEASE is only needed if you work with the Left/Middle/Right DRAG Commands ! ( Or in some verry special situations)
