Hi, I've learned a lot already using a ELEG8 board and mobiFlight. I've been able to get a altitude knob with LED output. As I plan my Auto pilot build, can you give me some guidance on how to handle the 5V connections where I'll have multiple LED displays and encoders that require 5V but the board only has 3-4 5v inputs.

Question: Should I build a sub panel board creating more 5V inputs? How is this done typically? Can all the 5V wires just be tied together?

Second question: If I am using USB on the ELEG8 board, but no 5v plug, I'm still getting 5v to the board through the USB, correct? Meaning I don't need an AC adaptor and USB.

Thank you!

Hi,
I think you are referring to the 5V outputs of the Arduino.
You can simply wire together all the 5V lines (on a breakout board or soldering or any way, even with a WAGO :) )
However huge number of equipments cannot be fed by an adruino with +5V.
In this situation you need a separate +5V power supply. It is important to connect the external GND to Arduino GND.

Do you know that you can simplify: if($=1,0,1) ?
Use simply: 1-$ :)
