I recently purchased the coreflight 737 MCP. I proceeded to set the hardware up using mobiflight and ran into the following two issues.
first issue is after setting up the encoder and the output in mobiflight I cant get a response from the encoder. If I change the heading directly on FS it will drive the display on the coreflight MCP but using the encoder on the corefligh MCP will not work, it will momentarily work if I drive the heading bug directly from the sreen a couble of rounds, stop then use the encoder then it will quit working again.
I thought it might be the encoder, but I was able to program the heading encoder to work on the LH CRS and it operated perfectly so I suspect there may be a programming issue.

second issue is VS. Again I programmed the encoder, the VS button the indicator and display. taking the display out of the equation the button work the indicator works and the encoder works, the problem is that when I push the VS button the display turns from all zeros to 1000 and I have tried several different settings. Another thing I noticed it that when I push the VS button I see the state turn from zero to one on the set up screen and does the same thing for the display state at the same time, it also goes from zero to one instead of displaying the selected VS.
I have updated my firmware, shut down mobiflight disconnected the hardware reconnected and restarted mobiflight and no help. I went in to the coding for the heading and it looked complete.
Any thoughts on these issues?

You basically answer all questions already yourself....

If the Encoder from Problem 1 work fine for a other function but not for the heading.... Then your used Input Settings in that Config are wrong.
You can confirm this by enable the logging mode (MF Settings).
Then you will see in debug String below if encoder is detected correctly.

In easy words.... If detent is shown (i expect) but nothing in Sim happen then you use simply the wrong Events or values.


Same for Problem 2 (Display)
the Display simply show what you read from Sim and how you compare it.

You can check the raw data (Read from Sim) and also the shown data in the MF Connector Window.
Open Output Config Tab..... Run MF .... And check the 2 collumns right of the config Name.
You see SIM Value (Raw data) and "Output Value" the final compared Value the Display will show (Expect Left Paddings).

I expect Display show exactly what is shown here..... So if its not the value you expect then you read the wrong Variable OR you use a compare/Transform that is wrong.
