Having to do a wipe and new install
Should I run the new mobiflight installer from the downloads folder and let it install to C program files as default or should I move the installer to D
I thought mobiflight should be on a drive other than C to work correctly
I had 9.6 on D working ok before I had to rebuild machine

Mobiflight not have to be in D:/ ... We just need to get sure it is not within a Windows secured folder.

The new installer now install MF always in this windows apps folder as recommend by microsoft. There is no disadvantage to do this!
So its no mater if you run the installer.exe in download folder or in D:/ it no longer is a self extracting file.... So it will install MF always to the same folder we define in the code.

For sure... You can in theory simply copy paste the installed folder to d:/mobiflight, but then the uninstall no longer work.

For now we recommend.... Install MF by the official installer and remain it in the default recommended folder.
