Hi,
I have devices in my cockpit which use a modified MF connector with uses an older Release.
I also have 2 Mega with the latest MF connector beta Release 9.4.0.4.

At the moment only 1 connector (of the above mentioned) is running if I start the other one, nothing happens.
Unfortunately the modified connector does not show a COM port in USBDeview, so I can not exclude in my original MF connector (beta).

Is there a way to run 2 instances of MF?

I have to say I'm using XP11.

Peter

EDIT:
Another idea: Would it be possible to exclude devices not (only) by COM port but by SerialNumber of the Arduino?

About main Question....
NO.
You can run just one MF instance on one Computer.
In theory you can run 16 instances on up to 16 Computers in a Network.... But thats not what you ask for,

About idea itself....

I don´t know exactly WHY you like to use 2 Instances.
Normaly we always recommend to work with UpToDate Version.

So tell us why you use the old one.... And what "custom change" is done there.

Best way is to work with Live version and no longer need to use the old one. If really needed to have a costom change the best way is to "rework" the newest version.... So you have both benefits in once.
Good Luck !

Thanks Pizman,

in the meantime I got the same info from the vendor (Aviatek) of the modified connector. This version served me already 1 1/2 years with a support for XP very well without using XPUIPC. I use it with the G1000 suite of Aviatek. Besides I have 2 Arduino installed running the same modified connector.
Now as we have native XP support in MF I changed to the MF beta for my 2 Arduinos. But running both connector (one for G1000 and the other for my switches) does not work - thats why I asked.

I will talk to Aviatek and ask, if the MF base of their connector could be based on the current MF version. For the moment I have a patched Aviatek connector which allows me to run as a seperate instance besides the original MF connector.

Anyway, thanks for your help!
