Hi.

I´ve 3 Arduino 2560 with MF, But, I´ve another arduino 2560 connected to my PC with other program. The problem is that when MF start, it check all arduinos connected in the ports,of my PC and always go out like a light the LCD of this arduino and after that the display is full of trash.

I do not know what to do because MF (9.2) see this arduino always, and is in the list of MF modules as Unknow. The funny is that if I change the port of this arduino MF create another new Unknow arduino in this new port.

I thought that with the 9.2 version this never occur more, but is a problem because my LCD of the arduino that it´s not using MF has problems and me too.

It´s possible that MF ONLY will see the arduinos that has the MF firmware?

I need your help, please.

I wish you the best MMXXII

Yes....

Just disable the Option " Auto Upload Firmware" in the "Settings- MobiflightModules" Tab.

As Sebastian explane in his release Vid.....

Then all Arduinos without a MF firmware are ignored at all time..... And only Board that include Firmware already, will be used for MF.

NOTE: If you like to use a additional Arduino for MF you have to enable this option again temporarly and for that situation you have to disconnect the other Arduinos.....
For sure if "Auto Upload" is disabled also new Arduinos ( planned for MF) are no longer detected.
Good Luck !

HI.

Forget my last post. I have cut the 2 wires of data in the USB cable and now I use the cable only to power the Arduino. It´s the quick and easy solution. Now this Arduino has disappeared to my PC and also to MF. When I need to upload another program I use another cable.

Best regards,

Hi Julesta,

it is also possible to connect the MF modules to USB-Hub1 and the others to USB-Hub 2. When starting MF you should only start Hub 1 and later Hub2.

Hhhmmm
This is a "special case" and only a few users are involved.
So i think we not need to rethink the whole logic !

Basically :

MF checks EVERY Board.... Whatever Option is enabled or not.
Cause we need to find out on every startup what Devices are on the USB.....
So MF techical also talk to your Mouse, Keyboard and your Headset.
The only difference with the "Auto Firmware " Option is:
Enabled means it will send Firmware to All Arduinos, who currently not have a MF Firmware.
Disabled means it just update Firmware if there is still a firmware on it.... So it ignore all Boards who not already are "MF Boards"
BUT
For sure.... Every Device ( so also your Arduino) is called 2 Times.... At first it ask "are you a Arduino" and second "Do you have a MF Firmware"
Looks like this 2 requests and the Reply struggle your Arduino sketch !

****************
Solution:

If your Board is indipended ..... So you not need any Data interface to the Sim.... then it´s unlogical to waste a USB/Com Port. Simply power the Arduino by a own 5V Power suply and no longer use USB ( or cut datalines as you do)
Good Luck !
