Hello to everyone.

I can say that i am new here. I was observing and learning about arduino and mobiflight.
Since 2006 flying online and last year i started to build some 737NG ( PMDG NGXu ) desktop cockpit. https://imgur.com/a/LSjfplK. https://imgur.com/a/S7bi86j

Last year i have ordered sismo afds panel, 6 pack annunciator, fire warn and master caution set. They works very well with help of this topic. ( https://www.mobiflight.com/forum/message/10370.html )

Now, 2 weeks ago i ordered from sismo Main Panel DUs, flaps gauge and Engine Display Control Modules. https://imgur.com/a/hqgjdaF
I also have a mip to finish everything at the end.

But i am stucked on setting up my last modules. Flap gauge is set already but main panel dus, As you know, 2 rotary buttons, 1 with 5 pos, other has 3.
All has been created as button, left one offset 654C, bytes 2 and Set value is the question. I set OUTBD PFD as 0 NORM 1, at the end MFD as 4.
Then Lower DU offset 654E set as other one pos 0, 1 and 2. I could not make them work properly. If i turn the lower du norm to eng pri, left rotay alsa moving.

Second, Engine Display Control Modul wired as shown ( took 1 hour ). but no any recognition. On user manual says no any power required. Has 3 annunciator also connected via PCB but no any lights. If i connect the annunciators direct to arduino works perfect. But when i move encoders and rotary buttons has no any commands send to arduino.

Looks like you use wrong Input Logic.....
I wonder in case you say older Panels work.... So pretty sure you use correct way there.

PMDG not accept Inputs via Offset Adresses...... EventID ONLY !!!!!

Your 654C 2 BYTE x 2 MAIN_MainPanelDUSel[2]; can not be used as INPUT..... Thats a Output !
And by the way.... It´s NOT 2 Byte.... These are TWO Offsets in a row ... each 1 Byte !
654C 1 BYte is CPT DU Selector Position ..... 654D is FO DU Selector Position.

Correct EVENT ID is....
CPT Main DU Selector 69967 ..... Lower DU 69968
Parameter pretty sure the same like in the Output is listed

0: OUTBD PFD
...
4 MFD for Capt
Reverse sequence for FO

It look likes i do not know what. I am lost. To set 1 button was really easy. Outputs as well. I am lost.

Looks like a Electrical Problem.....


By the way.... Why do you use on each Config Line Parameter "1" ?
For sure all uses the same EventID ( one for the Left and one for the Right switch) But you need different Parameters in case of the used Position.
Whatever this is not the Problem from the Logging!


Do you got a Multimeter ?
simply check the Switch......

Two Posibilitys.....

1. Wrong wire work
Check for touching wires, bad solder..... also confirm the GRD is used on the same Mega where you connect the Switch Pins.
Also confirm you use a MEGA..... So we exclude a issue with another board and a not official working firmware.

2. Sisom Issue.
I just see the first Picture and the Pin system..... But i not see if there is internal again a other Logoc ( Like sismo do with the relais of Red/Orange Light in the Panel we talk in other Topic) .

If you make everithing correct then this looks to me that this is NOT a normal switch. this is something special again !

Parameters 1 i believe refer to button at on position. ( can be the wrong knowlage )

I do not have a multimeter but it looks like i need to get one maybe tomorrow from toom.

It is very new module. New and double checked that haven't seen any bad solder. At the moment to this mega connected only flaps gauge and Main panel dus module. Ground is also connected to the gnd next to pin 52. If i take the gnd pin out works nothing.

How can i confirm my mega? It is Elegoo Mega2560 R3

I hope i can make them work. Biggest problem is also waiting for me ( Engine Display Control Panel ) More detailed and could not get any signal from that module...

Sorry that i could not answered here again. Was very busy week.

2 nights ago i finally found mu mistake on wiring. What i read on the manual about wirlng map i applied directy to ribbon cabel pins and actually completly wrong. ( mirrored pins )

Now everything works fine. But i joined to your disqord channel and looking forward to talk to you soon.
