Hi guys, i'm new in this mobiflight software, i just followed the instructions to make the switch-parking brake, but it did not worked. The Tx Led in arduino UNO blinks when i change the state of the switch, but nothing happens in the simulator.
I hope you guys can help me out!!

Hi Wilmar,

the tutorial shows the MEGA 2560 not the UNO - so you have to define other pins to use with Mobiflight. The principle is the same.
Do not forget after defining the pin you control the switch to save the config to the UNO.

seems so that there are still problems with the UNO. It's an experimental phase until now.
I also tried to load the firmware on an UNO bit it doesn't work - MF always recognizes a MEGA 2560. The RedBoard from Sparkfun was not detected.

Is it possible for you to use a MEGA 2560 V3? This one always works fine.

Okay, i see that UNO still in test stage , altough my problem is not with the firmware update, as far as i can see, just the button recogniton seems to be the issue.
By the way, the LED project works fine, anyway, i will wait until the UNO works better, thank you for your help!!!

Did you define the switch for the parkingbrake as input or output?

If you use the Test Button, is the button working an the led went on?
While the test-function already would not work then you have a definition-error in your assignment.
Please check it step by step.
If it still won't work, delete all definitions concerning the button in MF and the setup. After that define another pin and define a new device in the setup and take this one for the button.
Save both the setup and the MF-Definitions and rewrite the setup to the UNO. Then try the run-button in MF.
If you did all the right way and it won't work, Im at the end with my latin...

no, he uses an UNO with the parking-brake-LED. This works fiine.
After defining additionally a switch (using the tutorial) as parking-brake switch, only the switch will not work.
I think that has nothing to do with the bug you told about

He don´t say he use the switch "additional" .
He can do the Switch tutorial without using a led ! ( This is written in the tutorial, too )

So if he try to set only a switch without a RUNNING Output at the moment this won´t work.

By the way... This Output bug is in software itself.... This is existing whatever a uno or a Mega is used.


Maby the Uno is problematic here too.... But a simply test with a output maby is the solution allready for his problem !

So @ Wilmar... Please test this if possible.

Pizman, i ran the switch tutorial along with the LED, it doesn't work, only the LED turns on when i activate the Parkingbrake on the keyboard, the switch appears to send a signal to the board cause the Tx LED blinks but nothing happens in the FSX.

Again sorry for long responding time... Get real trouble at work at the moment.
If you use the LED in config same time the linked issue can NOT be the reason.

I see Sebastian get a new version live now... Please try at first to update Mobilfight... Maby the issue is already fixed....

If NOT:

Maby a UNO Problem... Sorry i can´t test this... I get only MEGA´s at the moment!
OR a issue like Stephan says...

The Tx LED is only a signe that the Mega send a command..... The problem is NOT the FSX.... The Problem here is... Does the command reach Mobiflight ??
Please check as Stephan said.... Do you use the right Pin in Uno AND Mobiflight Device Setting Menu ( Must be the same number)
Do you use as Device "Button" in the Device Menu ?
Do you use the correct device in the Config ?

For a test: Please enable "Logging" in Mobiflight... Type DEBUG.
So there is a 3 Line Display below the Config Section...... If you push youre Button/Switch ... WHAT is written there ??
Is there a Info that Mobiflight Recive button PRESS and RELEASE ??
