Hi Folks!

I'm new, so please have some patienace with me ;-)

Testet some switches and servos. works!

But since some days, I'm trying to build a gauge with a x27 stepper motor and a easy-driver board.
Always, when I add a stepper to the config and upload to the MF-Module, flashing breaks the bootloader and the module is broken.
Only with Microchip-Studio recoverable. No other way. Needed 3 days to figure this out.

How can I drive stepper motors with Mobiflight9 and a arduino pro-micro?

Tryed this tutorial: https://www.mobiflight.com/en/tutorials/community-guides/easy-driver-tutorial.html

As i know.... NO..... Not with official Release!

NOTE to Seb and Jaime, Tuomas and all the other Micro Friends..... Another Situation we can simply prevent by remove Micro Support basically OR by offert a Micro/Uno Firmaware with a clear defined Setup ( E.g. LCD and Stepper permitted) !!!!!

Mobiflgiht Firmware is to large to run on a Micro or a UNO. There exist custom firmwares from the users i adressed above..... They remove e.g. the whole 7Seg Code to make it possible to controll Servos, LCd and so on..... Or for example they remove Servo/Stepper to make a LCD be able to work !

My Statement is clear..... Guys, use a Mega ONLY !!! . this Board work and is used by 95+% of our Userbase. If you really need a smaller Controller then use the "MEGA Pro Mini"
I will never understand whats the benefit to use a Micro or Uno..... 1/3 of Pins, not compatible 100%, lots of problems, and finally just a save of 3-5 US$.
Good Luck !

Thanks for reply.

I assumed something like this.
I thought when the pro-micro is listed on the website as compatible, it should work.

The pro micro was my choice, because of the small form-factor. I built some gauges in the saitek-formfactor (90*90mm). The Mega or Uno will not fit that easy.

Thanks all, i`ll try the 7seg and x27 with the big one.

I fully agree.... That fact is reported many many times by myself..... If we write it in our Webside it SHOULD work.
So i still vote to remove the Micro from all official statements until there is a final decission how we can handle it in the future !

About size....

I always say.... DEEP is available endless.... Yes. A Mega is not fit into 90mm whatever High or wide.... But if you build the box simply 200mm "deep" you can set the mega behind without trouble.... Cause Mega is just 60mm wide.... Your box is 90mm.

Alternate:
"MegaMiniPro"
Good Luck !
