Hello...

Newbie Here....

Sorry for the bother but I just can't figure out my Gear Transition red LED light on Pin #4.
(using MSFS2020 and the default Beechcraft Baron for testing MOBIFLIGHT)

NOTE: I have successfully configured my separate Green LED (Pin #2) to come on and off correctly with the Gear (Up/Down) states but wanted a separate Red LED to only come on during the transition period. - called "Gear Transit"

The hardware portion is working and it lights up during the test so that is good! - I just cannot figure out what WASM constraint to trigger the LED light to come on when in Transition state : i.e. (1-16383) Right??

I must be missing a step...Or do I need to be using FSUIPC instead of the WASM method?

Here is a screenshot of my settings so far....
I either get the red LED to mimic the Green LED state or cannot get the RED LED to light up at all - LOL

Once I get the RED LED to function properly, I'll Add the 'Blink1' state to "Gear Transit" LED

Thanks
Deacon

Hi Deacon,

welcome to MobiFlight!

You are on the right way if you use the WASM module.

Please go to https://hubhop.mobiflight.com

Here in the menu press on PRESET LIST then set the filter to ASOBO (for the standard aircrafts) choose your aircraft (B58), select OUTPUT and then click on G58 FLAPS RED INDICATOR.
Takeover the data and have fun ;-)

On this page you can read all known data for the aircrafts and if you have an event that has not yet been recorded, you can enter it here and make it available to all users.

Hi

You must Figure Out "how" the data is working.

As Stephan say.... Some Aircrafts may have a "Indicator Status Data" .....
So pretty sure a system like "G58 FLAPS RED INDICATOR" simply show "1" if the Red LED must be ON and "0" if it is OFF (Boolean)

The Other Value you use is the Gear Position!
At first it have a INDEX..... Means multiple data are available ( Logical Index 1,2,3 for Left Nose Right maybe)
Then it have a Value..... And also the "Typ of Value" is important and maybe different systems are available.

For example in old FSUIPC System it was 0-16383 if i remember right.
Your " Percent Over 100" may give a Value of 0-100 ...... Percentage i think give a value from 0,01 o 1,00 or so.

But logic is the same.... You define a Situation ( E.g. Red Light if Gear is NOT UP and NOT DOWN ....... So e.g. 1-16380 ..... or 1-99% or so.

********
In easy words..... Try out multiple Ways.... Find one that give you a good Raw Data..... And if needed make a Formula / Compare to bring it to the Output Value you need.
Good Luck !

Hello again,

Success!! Thank you guys so much!!!

Here's what you suggested and it worked!

I simply changed the word FLAP to GEAR ....simple!!! haha!

Hopefully these variables can be extracted from all the upcoming military jet trainers coming out for MSMFS2020 in the near future! :)

Regards,
Deacon

 pure Luck !

May it workes..... But guys.... This is not the way we solve things !
A Simconnect Variable is a unique name for a process within the Simulator. The name is given from the Sim/developer guys.
So in theory the Variable for the Autopliot Master switch could also have the name (A:BURGER KING SUCKS) .... fully free choosen by the programmers.

What i like to say..... Not "try and error" change a text part..... If you need a variable then use the Tools in the Sim (Dev Mode Console) and figure out the needed Var Name.

So.... Congrats to your success.... But please not see this Lucky Punch as a solution ;)
Good Luck !

Yes - Pure luck indeed! But the end result is the the same! lol

I will look into the Dev Mode Console from MSFS2020 to extract the variable(s) - Yes?

One more question, will the WASM event list grow as time goes on? ...or do we have to find the variables ourselves using the Dev Console?
(or is this the whole point of the : https://hubhop.mobiflight.com page?)

Thanks!
Deacon

Correct !

Basically MF give the tool to insert a "code" by the user himself. ( Custom Events)
But for sure.... Then Thousends of Users have to do the same work each by themself over and over again !

Badly we can not use a "tool" and read all posible Events within a easy click..... So all Events need to get figured out one time by hand..... And then we can include them into a PRESET List.

In case Sebastian and Sergey would work here thousends of hours alone (FS2020 not stops.... Each new AddOn will also have new Events) ..... So this is not profitable.

Here "HubHop" comes on the screen!

If you need a Event that is not exisiting as a presest, you need to find out yourself, or you wait until a other user do this work !..... And for sure if you finaly do it yourself then you can /shoudl share it via HubHop..... And then all others can use it as a preset !
Good Luck !
