Hi All!

Im trying to configure the FLT DECK TEMP y CABIN TEMP knobs from the Air Conditioning Panel on PMDG 777, I'm using Potentiometers, I've connected them to the analog inputs and they works, the problem is when I rotate it completely (the Potentiometer) on the sim only rotates the half of the way.

Im setting the Event ID 69771 & 69772 and on the Custom Param section I set @, but I don't know if I have to set a formula o something like that

By the way I´m stlill trying to understand those symbols (@, # ,$, etc.) is there any document where I can find their meanings?

Hope anyone can help me

Thanks a lot

Hi

I no longer own PMDG777 so i can not test it.... But we can figure out together i think.

At first the Symbols:
Dollar $ represent the Value of the current Config ( At the position you use it).
For example in the Transform Line a formula with "$" means that Dollar is the Raw FSUIPC Value ( or Simconnect Value in FS2020) .
If you use "$" in the Compare Tab then it represent the Result of the Transform
So in easy words..... $ is always the value of the Config you use it.

"@" is new and represent the Value of a Potentiometer (available since some weeks).
As you already find out.... If you use in those Input Configs the "@" this represent the value of the Potentiometer.

At last.... Placeholders.
You can use up to 6 Placeholders within a Config. These are values from other existing Output Configs. And you choose for a Symbol.
HEre you should avoid "$" and "@" in case they are still used maybe.
For Formulas we recommend a,b,c,d,e,g,h, ...... Not use Math symbols like *+-/%><
For LCD Displays we recommend symbols like *+#!%&/= Not use letters and numbers here.

*************

About B777
The @ represent the Value of the Poti. As i know it´s 0-1024 .
If your PMDG for example works with a Value of 0-2048 then for sure a 100% Poti Setting send 1024 and set the virtual Poti only to 50%

Find out whats the range of the Virtual Poti is..... And then "calculate" this into the Value.

For example.....
Poti gives 0-1024 ..... Sim require 0-2048 ....... Then use "@*2" in the input line.
If Poti gives 0-1024 and lets say sim require 0-35 ...... Then solution is 1024/35=29 ..... So "@/29" result in a perfect Value 0-35 now.
Good Luck !
