First off the LED circuit on bread board is correct. Tested with a power supply.
XPUIPC is running on my X-plane 11 but Sim is not started.
I am using a Mega 2560 and followed the 1st LED tutorial instructions and redid it more than a dozen times.
Still I cannot get the LED to light up....
Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

Hi

Sorry. Totaly miss the XPLANE Sub Forum for a while.

Is this still actual ??

If Yes....
Step 1: Check if LED is basically work.
Go in your Config ( where you make your Test).
While MF is in Stop Mode ( NOT RUN) go to DISPLAY Tab and select the Test Button.
Then the used LED must light..... If not, then you have a basic electrical Problem.

If LED Light in this test..... But not light while in RUN mode indicated to the Sim ( e.g. Parking Brake) then there is a Software Problem..... May on MF side (Your config settings) OR on the interface to the Sim (XPUIPC)

Please Note:
We know the Tutorial is not UpToDate and the Screenshots show a VErsion that is 5 years gone ( e.g. the Multiply Field is still shown)
Whatever the basic System is still working .
BUT
It was written for FSUIPC ( FSX) ....
With the years a lot of Versions of XPUIPC comes..... May yours work different..... So "1" is no longer working andf you need e.g. 32767 as value.
Here you need to make some testings..... Check the "FSUIPC Output Value" Collumn right of your config.... Does it change when you set the Brake ?
Good Luck !

Replying to a old posts....but i hope it will help others.

I have a feeling that it could be the wrong pin selected on the dropdown list on your arduino app.
I had the same issue. The video explains pin 52. But my pin was in 22. So maybe it could be the pin selection
