On the same computer I have MSFS and XPlane 11.

I would like to use a panel with lights, autopilot, various buttons and flight data display already configured for MSFS with 3 Arduino boards also for XPlane.

Is it correct to create a new directory with all MobiFlight where I keep the same current files as the Arduino firmware but with the new .mcc files configured for XPlane?

Hi

No this is wrong.

You NOT need to create a new folder or a second Mobiflight installation.
You use ONE Mobiflight for Both. Also the Firmware and Device Settings are NOT involved cause this is saved on the Megas itself.

All you need to do is create TWO individual MCC Files..... E.g. File A say ButtonX execute a Event ID..... And File B instead use for same Button a Offset Input . Same for Outputs.... Config A use the FS2020 Offsets.... Config B use the Xplane Offsets.

****************
Summary: You RUN the same Mobiflight for both Simulators.... MF will detect what Simuator is currently running and connect automaticly.
The only thing you need to do is LOAD the MCC File that is build for the current used Simulator. Like "XplaneCockpit.mcc" and "2020Cockpit.mcc"
Good Luck !

Hi Pizman,
thanks for attention.
Waiting your answer I just found the solution You suggest and it works well.
Thanks again.

P.S. my first idea to create two Mobiflight separate installation is because I tought to include the links at the two Moby Connector exe's in two batch files from where I launch one or the other simulator with related other files: i.e.: MSFS.bat for running via one click MSFS, FSUIPC7, MOBIFLIGHT, LITTLENAVMAP, NAVIGRAPH CHARTS, IVAO apps etc. Obviously i have to set different the different timing for each application.
Bye

Nice Idea....
Whatever a "Stoneage" Technique..... a BATCH File is still a verry common thing.

I will ask Sebastian next days.....

Please stay calm.... I think we can offert you a new tool to make this possible.....
Good Luck !

Hi Pilota

Good news.
The needed feature is included in Mobiflight already for many years..... I just not know about that fact.

You can open the MFConnector.exe with optional commands/parameters.....

What you need is the /cfg Parameter ! ..... And behind the path of the mcc file.

I test it with a Windows shortcut..... but same should also work identical in a BATCH File.

**************
Run Mobiflight normal : MFConnector.exe

Run Mobiflight with file XXX.mcc : MFConnector.exe /cfg xxx.mcc
( If the mcc file is not inside the Mobiflight folder you need a path )

In my example Mobiflight is in d:/flight simulator/Mobiflight and the Test file is in c:/Pizman/ and is called test.mcc
So the Text in shortcut is..... "D:\Flight Simulator\MobiFlight\MFConnector.exe" /cfg c:\Pizman\test.mcc

*****
NOTE you can also include the AUTORUN if needed...... Then in my example it is ....
"D:\Flight Simulator\MobiFlight\MFConnector.exe" /cfg c:\Pizman\test.mcc /autoRun
This will Start Mobiflight with the selected File and also RUN it at startup.

*********************
Good Luck !
