hey im using the tutorial for adding a switch. the one with the led works fine but when i try the switch (plugged as shown), the parking brake doesnt move. now what i noticed is that on the receive led on the arduino uno (RX) when i flick the switch, the led lights up and turn right back on just a small flicker. that tells me that the arduino is getting a signal but if im not mistaken the RX led should stay on when the switch is on?

Hi,

I had the same with my uno and again with ny mega today. More the mage didn't react at all, so no Tx led lighting up. After pressing the reset button on my biard, everything worked on the mega, didn't try the uno again. Maybe that coukd be a try for you.

For the Rx led, it shouldn't stay on. It will flick whenever a signal is transferred. I also think it shoukd be Tx if I am not mistaking.
Regards,
Marc

Maybe a coding issue with the Uno version. While testing my uno, I also didn't get a button press event in the debug logs. With the meha, everything is working like a charm even though it is a mega clone
