Hello Sebastian,

Do you have any plans for removing this limitation ? If so, when would you do that ? I really need a certain answer.

I'm aware that you have a life, and more important stuff than this, but i really want to conclude my project. If you say that it's a mid- or long-term plan of yours, i'll follow a different path and create my panel from scratch -which is a quite pain in the back- and try to stay under 40 switches for each board -which i really don't like to- but if you think removing this 40 switch limit in the next patch, please at least give me an approximate date.:-/

Sorry for being so stubborn and impatient, but currently i'm unemployed and will start working any time soon, so i'd like to finish and enjoy my ultimate project as much as i can until that happens :D

Cheers.

I can remove or increase it to 50 with the next release. This will be either this or the other weekend.
Have a great day!
Sebastian

Hello again Sebastian.

I'd like to ask something as well.

Is there any chance to put analog inputs into use as well as an input ? Does the firmware of Arduino itself let that happen ? If so, there would be 16 more Input's as well, which will be absolutely perfect !

You mean as digital input for a switch?
Have a great day!

Might not be the right place guys...flame me if this hould be elsewhere.

For an FMD (as people say) its 69 switches but in a matrix that only needs 18 pins giving (81 switches available)...or even as few as 3 connections to a Arduino if using a matrix decoder chip such as TCA8418.
The question is .
Is there currently any firmware for a matrix of switches? or firmware for the handling of the decoded output of a chip? or any in the making? or even could some be done?

coo 4 questions in one

Hi John.

I Read that there is a guy that start programming via "open source" to impliment a shift Register. Maby this will come in the future, too !

But let me say....

If this feature come it would be good..... But if not: Simply stop think about this ..... There is no limitation for Arduino Boards.... Its no matter if you finaly use 50 instead of 30 Arduinos for youre Project. In a Cockpit for few thousend dollars the 100$ for 10 Arduino not realy make a sence.
Good Luck !

Hi pizman82

Thanks for the reply.
In my pit I use FSBUS the i/o card limits me to a 8 x 8 grid (64 switches) so 1 card will not do the whole FMC . I was really looking for the ultimate answer: LOL....don't we all?
So I will keep it on my wish list ;)
