I know I have posted a lot lately but:
When saving I have some problem, it seems some times that the saving disappear and I don't know why.
When putting in some new Items i first upload and then use the save function in settings and save and replace the .mfmc file
Then I put in all that should be in the FSUIPC and display then use the auto save function and in addition I go to file and save and replace the .MCC.
That should be enough, but many times when I then close MF the it answer it is unsaved items, Why? is it because a switch or a light in simulator is in another state than wen saved..
I also see sometimes that the next time I start MF there might be 1 of the items missing and has to be put in again from bottom. (syst. page is always correct)

I also even if I start MF as admin I have to start it twice. First time it comes up with the page and then disappear again. Next time it stays open

Your posting is confusing..... And you mix up different things !

1. Saving "Devices" to a mfmc is completly OPTIONAL..... This is just a backup if something goes wrong on the board. Mobiflight not load this file or use it by itself. So whatever the Saving sequence or the existing of this file have any influence to the funtion of Mobiflight !

2. What do you mean with "replace" the mcc file ?
If you click on SAVE then you can simply say you like to overwrite the existing file OR you can choose a new name ( or a other existing file). So this is simular to "Save AS" in other programms.

3. The situation in Sim ( Position of Switches, Status of LED etc) have completly no influence to a mcc file. Technical Mobiflight will work same way whatever your Sim is loaded or not.... The only difference is that all Offsets show "0" if Sim is Offline.... But Mobiflight itself technical not know or see if your Sim is active or what aircraft you use.

The "unsaved Elements" Message normaly means you did changes and must save.
As i know those changes also can occure ( by Mobiflight itself) through missing Elements....
For example you got a config that is directed to a LED but the Device is not connected ( Other MEGA for example) Then Mobiflight remove the adressed LED from the Configline.
Whatever you did no active changing.... If you Close MF then it ask you to save cause in current file the LED Device is removed and MF want to know if it should save current state or if you like to stay in old version again where fdevice is still exisiting.

2.That was exactly what I ment I just used wrong wording.

3. Even when I save with the two option in the program (Disk symbol and Save) I experience that the next time I am starting MF one or maybe two of the programed Items is missing.
even without anyting being installed or removed. System page is correct but the item is completely gone from the program side.

4. When starting MF the first time I start it comes with the page and then disappear and I have to start it once more and then there is no problem. Always using admin. start

Hi Again.

Maby a translation Problem but i not undertand compeltly what you mean with "item" that is not saved corectly.

Do we talk about a DEVICE ? So you create for example a Button.... Upload it to Board.... But on Next Startup the Button is Missing in Dropdown for a new Config and maby also Missing in /Settings/MobiflightBoards List of Devices ??
OR
Do we talk about a CONFIG ? Like you create a Output Config that read Offest xy.... It work fine but after Close MF and Restart the whole Config is gone like you never build it ?
OR
Do we talk about a SETTING ? For example you choose in a Input Config a PMDG EventID and a Mouse Parameter and after Restart the Config is still there but the Parameter i missing ?


Tell us... Then we can better understand the problem.


2. What do you mean with "PAGE" ..... Its not normal that you need to Start MF twice. What page is shown and disapere ???

What I mean with an "item" is the whole line.( f.inst. the whole output/input line
So It must be what you call a config. but that also include the settings
What I mean is that a whole line with description and settings may be missing when starting MF after a shutdown.
All is saved as far as I understand correctly. It is not always this happens but sometimes.

What I mean with a page: When starting MF it comes up withe a page (MF opening Screen) it stays open for 5-10 sec. and then disappear again and no MF on Taskbar.
I start MF again and the it is ok and stays open and on task bar.
I always start as administrator

Thats Strange:

Never heard about complete missing Config Lines. The only reason can be protected folders.... But if you use Admin mode this is also normaly no problem.
Maby just to say it.... It is recommend to save your Config File ( *.mcc) always in a "Free" Folder. Not in a windows protected folder like /programmfilesx86

Same with self closing MF.... Never got this.
Mobiflight can "disapere" Then you find it in the "hide programms" Area... Left of your Clock in Taskbar. In that case there is no "Tab" shown in the bar but it is in this "hide" section.

Sorry i can not help you. the only recomendation i can do in those situations.... Maby start from beginning.
When was your last complete System Cleanup ? Do you have other problems and non stable progamms ???
Think about a full format of your hdd and a clean new install of Windows, Drivers and Software.
If you already plan to do this.... That sometimes solve hard problems. But sure Maby it will not solve it but you invest 10 Hrs of your life. So think before you do this !
