I would've try this first.
Open up the config, under servo settings, write value of 127 into the test box and press test.
The needle needs to be centered now (if not, adjust with centering pot).
Stop the test, write 0 or 255 and test again.
You should see full deviation either left or right.
This is where you adjust the range. Don't let the needle to reach it's physical end stop but adjust the pot so it's barely touching.
Now check the centre again and adjust if necessary.

Now run the sim and report:w00t:

Done

- 127 Test & centered - ok
it‘s possible by using the poti wheel to push the CDI to left and right. Another attemp CDI just move one and a half dot‘s to left to right very slowly by using the poti wheel. Third or fourth attempt possible again like above („full range“)

- Test/Stop = CDI = 1 Dot right

- 255 = centered
not possible to move CDI to left and right (full wheel range poti) left or right turn it’s indifferent. Just one dot from right to left close to one dot and centered

- 0 = nothing = same 255 except do nothing

127 and Test centered, Stop = centered

Strange ;)

That's very strange in deed..
Do you have regulated (bench) power supply by any chance?
It would be good to know the required voltage for full deflection.
I was trying to find it online but didn't have much luck though.

No I haven’t. :|

Curious, because the 1. (Centering Poti) by 127 it’s possible to move the CDI from „full“ left to center to „full“ right and back. Limiter Poti no way.

I just hold another same Poti, maybe to change it.

Try to write 255 into the servo range box

I did. It doesn’t matter if 0 or 255 (at Limiter Poti)

But TO Flag is turning on in a Flight inbound VOR by hazard or not have to check

Max

Update:

TO Flag is working - ok
OFF Flag also
FROM is working - ok

CDI doesn't work

So i checked that.

- CDI needle is the same here

- TO and FROM are working. Itwas the problem that the Mega2560 wasn’t recognised and afterwards the FROM pos. was placed to, TO. I changed it manually.

But what ever is going on with the CDI, make no sense to me. Even it’s possible to center the CDI like this way:

- Instead of 255 I’m using 127
- Test pressed
- at first time - needle wasn’t centered
- with centering Poti - result: centered

But it seems to me that the centering Poti and the limiter Poti are dependant to each other, because to set the range for centering the needle, it’s necessary to rotate the limiter also a little bit.

So afterwards by press test (127) centering. But if I gonna set 255, the needle just move 0.5mm to the left. So it’s also equal if I set 1023 or something.

With limiter it’s impossible to move the needle. Think there should be the bug in ascending line.

You're right.. this doesn't make any sense.
I'm honestly out of ideas, except maybe test all your connections and the pots as well:P

Indeed I gonna check that all, maybe the Poti isn’t working or malfunction soldering.

I guess the values TO/FOM pos should be vice versa.
Arrow (or Word TO) up = To (= 1,1,0)
Arrow (or Word FROM) dwn = From (= 2,1,0)

TO/FROM is working fine

Stay tuned & thanks for help

Wow, well spotted MaxB)
You're right I've got those two wrong way around, I actually remember the flag going vise versa when testing so I just swapped the wires on Arduino and forgot all about it:w00t:

Thanks for the note, will change the pics tomorrow to avoid confusion for others..
