I'm working on a panel for my Aerosoft A320 that will use a combination of MobiFlight (for inputs and 7-segment displays) and Link2FS (for 1602 LCD displays). The A320 uses push/pull encoders for the altitude, speed etc but since I just have encoders with push button support I've been trying to figure out how to implement the "pull" function. I've come up with an idea to use short and long press on the encoders push button, where a short press is a push and a long press is a pull.

I wonder if this can be done with MobiFlight?

Hi , I came up with this idea and built it. I saw it somewhere but couldnt find the source. Here is my pictures, I hope they are clear to get the point.

What a clever solution! I will certainly try that one.

About the long/short press I've found that this can be accomplished with LUA, there's even an example script among the scripts that come with FSUIPC.

Nice Work. I thought about the same way. But i will prefer a spring on the Backside.
In this building a undesigned pulling can maby happen cause the button is realy close to the board. If you put it on 5-10 mm space between and use a spring to get the Rotary back in unpulled position it may be better.

Pls report about undesigned pulls with youre build.. thks
Good Luck !

Yes, using spring would make it better but I couldnt find proper ones, and this was my first try. Solders are already broken and can't usable :-/ Will try better one later but I am very busy with my school..
