Hello,

I just received a LSON 0.4" 8-Digit 7-Segment Digital Display Module - Deep Blue (5V)-312588 from DealExtreme (DX.com). The chip it has on board is a Maxim MAX7219CWG 1420. The connectors bear the following labels: VCC (2x), GND (2x), LOAD (2x), CLK (2x), DIN and DOUT. The pin labeled CS seems to be missing and LOAD and DOUT appear to have taken its place. Taking LOAD or DOUT for CS, however, doesn't work. Looks like an incompatible display! Has anyone found a working solution for this display?

Greetings, Han

It should be LOAD. You have to use the pins on the left side (looking from the front). The side that has the DIN pin.

The pins on the other side (with DOUT) are needed if you daisy chain more modules in a row.
Have a great day!
Sebastian

It took me a while to follow up your advice and it works! I managed to display the preset values for altitude and vertical speed in my prototype autopilot. Thanks a lot for your support!
