Hi all, I'm just in the planning/learning/testing mode before I take the plunge and start ordering hardware for a 737 home build (or maybe just an MCP to start...)

Is it possible to use Mobiflight with any of the Arduino/circuit simulators/emulators out there to test a design? What I'm envisioning is being able to design some circuits and then run an arduino mega emulator but having it actually talking to Mobiflight (and through to FSUIPC and P3D) so that if I press a virtual switch in my circuit design I can see the function all the way through to the sim?

I guess essentially I'm try to do and test virtual circuit designs without the need to pull out my breadboards first...

Thanks in advance!

Nobody ask this before.... I don´t know. Never heard about a emulator for Arduino.
Where is the sense to emulate a controller ? You like to controll real hardware ( the only function of a controller) so its strange you like to simulate this ??

But why so difficult ?
If you like to "learn" you must also learn to handle the hardware.
A Arduino Mega cost less then 10$ ..... Basic Hardware is also cheap. You just need 1 Switch, 1 Led.... Optional 1 LCD, 1 Segmentdisplay, 1 Servo and 1 Stepper for advanced testings.

For beginenrs i personaly recommend a simple "Arduino Starter Kit" that include a Mega, Breadboard and a lot of basic devices. With this you can test nearly everything.
Good Luck !

I haven’t used any emulator either. It might be interesting for developing MobiFlight.

Like pizman said: I also recommend to get an actual Mega and some accessories and do testing with those.
You can start with a simple test setup and build up knowledge in regard to the wiring and these kind of things.
Have a great day!
Sebastian
