HI All,

I have a "bug" on MF or on my Arduino.

Every time I try to open MF and my Arduino already have an MF firmware, MF doesn't open and I need to write a foo firmware so it opens well.

If I try to plug Arduino after open MF it doesn't find my Arduino. So if I write a foo firmware on it, everything works fine...

Any tip how to fix it?

I have another issue that I don't know if it is related or not, but if I try to click on "Manage Orphaned Serials", if no Arduino plugged, it doesn't open, if plugged it crashes MF.

Regards,
Léo.

Sounds like a "bad" arduino.

Please Confirm....

1. You use a Arduino MEGA ( No other Arduinos are supported)
2. You use current MF Version and Firmware .... Older Firmware from a previous MF Version will not work.
Also Note : Older MF Versions (prior 7.5.2) are not supported in the Forum here. If you work with a old version then we can not help you !

If both awnsers are YES .... Then maby your Arduino is problematic.
Try to "clear" your Board. Use the EEPROM Clear sketch to complete reset your Board. Sometimes older apps trash the Memory and occures in Issues.

If board was completly clear and firmware gets on it but problem occure again then please check your Setup of Devices.
Only create a Button (e.g. on pin 5) and a LED (E.g. on Pin 6)
Then Test.
If THIS rudimentary testing workes then Issue occure only with your current setup then you maby have a issue there.

If all not helps please try a other Arduino Mega. If all work fine then ..... then simply your Mega is broke !
Good Luck !

1. Yes
2. Yes

After I removed all devices from the Board Configuration and removed all inputs and outputs from the main page, it started to work normally again.

So I recreated my settings from scratch, it is working again. Probably I had an wrong info on anywhere...

Thanks for Help.

OK.

Thats why its high recommend to make BackUps.

Best way is to Try new things NOT in your Main File that you use for your homecockpit.....
If you for example have a working MIP and now you like to build the EFIS then do this at first in a NEW File that not inlcude the current stuff.
If all is work fine and is figured out then you BackUp Save your Main file. Then include the new stuff and test if all is fine.

To avoid confusion i recommend also ta write a short list ( maby excel word or by hand) that include the file history.... In a full Cockpit you will have finaly 50-100 different Backup Files. With the List you know exactly when a issue occure on what point/file you include that specific part.
Good Luck !
