Hey there,

Is decreasing or increasing the LED Brightness feature disabled ? Because it's greyed out on me and i can't decrease any of them.

Hi

This is just a relict of the past !
Change Brightness of LED is only possible with Arcaze Boards.... Not With Arduino MEGA.
I never test it cause i not own a Arcaze.... But pretty sure with that board the Checkmark is not greyed out and possible to use !
Good Luck !

Oh, that's a shame. Any other way to decrease their light intensity then ?

Yes. Add a resistor of appropriate value in series. Try 220 ohm.

Hi again

Please tell us what you need exactly. Over the years we talk about nearly every led that exist in a cockpit :-/

As thatchi said... If you need a basic static brightness for all time then you just increase/decrease the resistor of this LED until brightness is perfect for you (Check the limits of LED)

If you need a Two way situation like bright/dimmed status then you can work with 2 LED in each anounciator....
Or you power one LED with two different power circles (here diodes are needed to prevent a "burnout" of LED or Arduino ! You must clearly split the two circles here
(Mostly Problem here is finaly that Aircrafts like PMDG show a dimmed status in Virtuial Cockpit BUT theres no Information in a Offset ! . So Check at first if its basicly possible to read out that information before you plan for it !)

If you need a stepless dimming for Backlight e.g. then a external solution (without Mobiflight) is the best.... Think about a PWM System or a system with a Potentiometer to reduce Power.

That was just a short overview.... May it gives you your awnser.... If not please tell us what exactly you plan to do..... then we find a way !
Good Luck !
