Sorry guys it's me again.. I've got 4 16x2 displays on a single arduino. Jumpers are soldered to give diffeent I2c addresses (23, 25, 26 and 27 - I forget the rest of the string). I have a sketch that scans for i2c units and reports the address and it recognises them fine. All 4 displays are on, first 2 have been in use for a while displaying radio and nav active and standby freqs and I've been trying to add 2 more for a while not but the best I can get is the scan sketch recognising them, they're on (boxes on top line, contrasted adjusted), added to mobiflight and configured to show DME, transponder, autopilot alt and vs.

Only nothing shows.

No Mobiflight rocks, no outputs, just the standard issue top line boxes.

Wiring all checks out, I've swapped displays, i2c backpacks, you name it.. No joy.

First 2 still work perfectly.

Current firmware limits to 2 devices per MobiFlight board.
Have a great day!

Sebastian,

Do you mean 2 devices per Arduino ?

Or do you mean 2 devices for each Mobiflight app ?

Best regards
Paul

Thanks Sebastian! Glad I didn't dump the first pair I thought were faulty! Second Arduino on the way!

Right now it’s 2 per board and that is because I had no experience on memory consumption of the library.
If everybody reports that it is stable we could increase it.
Have a great day!
