http://embedded-lab.com/blog/introducing-a-new-serial-spi-8-digit-seven-segment-led-display-module-using-max7219/

but i take out 4 first digit left side and need use only 1 digit closely whit resistor show number 1.
and MF use right side 4 digit to change frecfensy number.
i no know how working but i think good, and DP (desimal point) working fine 8 digit board what i has use.

photo my first test, whit encoder

my radio com-nav board proplem solved, before i use 8-digit max7219 board and think how made 5 digit board,
no proplem ,take out first 4 digit and wire new 1 digit in to board,
or orden max chip led matrix board
http://www.ebay.com/itm/311453069468?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
i orden new board.
and yesteday wire to board new 4 digit + 1 digit 7-segment,
connect to chip pin ABCDEFG to 7-segment and D12345 to common, test show wrong side all numbers, i change wires D54321 and show all numbers right
D 4321 connect to 4 digit 7-segment ok, and then solder 1 digit to wire same ABCDEFG AND D5.
led matrix board up row must conned to D1,C,E,D4,dp,D2,F,G and down row connect to D3,X,D,X,B,A,X,D5 (Xnot connected)
and 7-segment wired to
4-digit
D4,A,F,D3,D2,B
E,D,dp,C,G,D1
and 1 digit wired to
same ABCDEFG but D5 common cathode.
and working fine 5 digit whit led matrix board max 7219 chip. this made 4 time and you have radio-nac panel. add fregfency change button standby and ready.
Same can do 8-digit max chip board too.but i do new wired to led matrix board wiring this.

Hi
Can anyone explain to me how I can connect a 4 digit one to Arduino ?
I don't have CS in the 4 digits, generally on the 7 digits you have 5 ports but in 4 digits it has 4.

By the way I'm talking about TM1637

@ bhrzk

I think Mobiflight do not support 7 Segment Displays with TM1637 chip.
You have to use Max7219 !

Sorry if i missunderstood youre request.
Good Luck !

someone has thought about the possibility of linking 64 individual LEDs, to use as annunciator, via MAX7219, to avoid resistance?

I tried with link2fs and through code works fine.

I just try to connect seven segment with FSX. The display appear 025.12 whereas on FSX occurs 125.12. Is anybody know why? Even I modified some number setting, but the result remain the same. Please, help me. Thank you..

You have to add 10000 in transform box on the first tab (FSUIPC)
iconCode:
$+10000

If you look at the FSUIPC Offset documentation it will tell you that the leading 1 is not part of the offset because it is always 1.

Please always also check the example file that is in your /examples-folder of the MobiFlight installation directory.
Have a great day!

See this posting today.....

YES. I think about! But I think thats not profitable..... You need to build a 8x8 Matrix and wire it ( Maby it´s posible to hack a 8x8 prebuild Matrix Board but i don´t find something like that in the web)

So... Yes it´s cheaper as you use 2 Arduinos..... But it´s a lot of work. and it´s not posible with Mobiflight at the moment.
Sumary i think it´s easyer to set 64 resistors..... To much work to wire this and config that stuff.
Good Luck !

Hi Pierre,

Wich matrix is this? Can you show me where you buy it?

I intend to build the NAV, XPDR, COMM and ADF Boeing radios and don't know wich itens to buy (just know that I have to buy Mega2560, ex.)
