Before i can write a Bugreport to Sebastian, i finaly need your help . ( I not have Jeehell and can´t test it myself )

@ franciscoignacio or a other FMGS User.....

Please Confirm the OUTPUT Offset ( For the VS 7 Segment Display) "73C7 Size 1 Byte • V/S in (ft/mn)/100 or FPA in (degrees)*10 " is working correct !
Does this offset work signed correctly.... So it show negative values.... OR is this Offset buggy, too and result Unsigned so -100 ft is shown as 25500 ft ??

Using Jeehell, I can tell that with a transformed value negative v/s work but initially it was 25500 yes!

Yes, the same problem.-1 in vertical speed show the value 255. As Julien said. Then values negative show in lcd 25500.

How did you transform the value Julien? What rule did your apply? Because I m very bad in math operations.

V/S : transform * 100 and compare : if current value >= 17600 set it to $-25600 else set it to $
FPA : no transform and compare : if current value >=176 set it to $-256 else set it to $

New issue today. When I run MF for my a320 fcu, it stops 2 or 3 times and then on the fourth it continue running great.

Same at the first start, I need to press 3 times Run to get all the value in FSUIPC value row and the it works..

And when I do a test annunciator light, it stops working then I press 3 times run and it goes okay with all 8888 and led running.

May it be an ordering issue in MF ?

An other problem I talked about before is the encoder. If I turn it slow and precisely it goes great 1:1. But as soon as I start turning it fast like you would really do it, it misses many steps and become like a 4:1 encoder. What is the problem ? The encoder ? The read gap of MF not fast enough ?

As you can see it’s not clean but I only used foamboard to do this, I plan on using a thicker one as soon as this prototype is finished.

Hi Julien,

with me this happend, if I start MF to early. If the Sim is finally not inititialized first MF connects but after a couple of secondes the connection is lost.
Now I wait, I use PMDG, until the PMDG is ready. Thereafter MF runs fine without an interruption.

That was very useful for me as well because I had the same issue , but after have done the compare "V/S : transform * 100 and compare : if current value >= 17600 set it to $-25600 else set it to $:", I can not keep any longer the previous compare I had displaying the 5 dashes ----- for the same offset when needed.
I will appreciate it if you would be able to give a solution for that as well.

Hi

The Compare is basicly a "IF function" in a GUI for easy use.

So your right.... Basicly this is just to make ONE Condition.
In your case you need 2 conditions.... To Clear the Signed/Unsigned problem AND to make the Dashes.

Here i recommend to make the Dashes in the Compare Tab ... Cause Symbols and Letters like "- - - -" are only possible in Compare tab.

The Mathematicla Compare ( The logic to solve the negatve Value) can also be done in the TRANSFORM field.

In VS you use transform .... if($>=176,($-256)*100,$*100)
iIn FPA you use.... if($>=176,$-256,$)

In Compare Tab you can finaly use your current Compare to make the dashes !


I hope thats correct.... Not tested but logical the correct solution. Please try out !

Hi Julien this is exactly what I am trying to build, perhaps you can guide me thru... I have a320 aerosoft is that what you have? Bye I use FSX and have fsuicp. What other programa or software do I need?

About your Question.

At first please use google and forum search. All those questions are awnsered already.

You need a Sim ( You got FSX already)
You need FSUIPC ( You also got already)
You need a AddOn maby or you can use Standard Aircafts ( You got Aerosoft you said)
You need Mobiflight

Thats all.

About your AddOn.
Aerosoft is not a perfect choice for the starting in Cockpitbuilding cause it is not directly compatible with FSUIPC. Here you must done lots of stuff by programming youreself.

For Boeing a good starter Addon is PMDG ( 737.747,777) .... For Highend Magenta and Prosim can be used.
For Airbus a good beginning Software is Jeehell FMGS (Freeware) .... For Highend Magenta is your choice.

Summary.... You can startup with your Aerosoft.... But think about a "harder" work to get results in the beginning.
