I have 2 series of 8 digit 7 segments displays
one on pin 2,3,4 and other on pin 5,6,7
on the pin 2,3,4 I have it setup to display the capt course and FO course. when I move the dial the display changes for about 8 digits and then it rather goes blank or it displays 8.8.8.8. I have no idea what is happening or such any help would be greatful

Thanks

Hi happy,

I have a note about your setup:
Why are you wasting connection pins from your MEGA? The two display boards can be more beautiful together to form a chain. Hints for this there are many here in the forum.

To your problem with the 88888 or the missing display: here is some hardware error probably in the wiring. You may also need to re-solder the solder points on the boards to make secure contacts.
What happens if you call the config and there select the test mode? Will you see the digits correctly? What happens if you wiggle on the cables or the connectors?

In 99% of the cases, it is cable connections or faulty solder joints that cause problems.

Please check this and report here shortly about the result.
Grüße,
Stephan (Time: UTC+2)
