Installed MF-Connector on Windows-10, but MFConnector.exe does not start, nothing happens. FSX is running with add-on FSUIPC, Arduino is running with Arduino Leonardo connected to USB. Am I overlooking something?
Thanks,
Luc

Hi

Does Mobiflight starts in the past before ??

a Non Starting mobiflight mostly indicates a wrong mcc file preloaded
( For example if you have open it and save a file with a issue....then Mobiflight try to load this file but that occure in a error ( no starting)

If YES..... Please remove the current used file from its current place ..... then Mobi not find it.... use the example file like after install... and start normaly.

If That not helps.... Please try to start Mobiflight in ADMIN mode !
Good Luck !

Thank you for the prompt response!
- Mobiflight did never start before
- when launching: nothing happens, launching as admin displays the panel asking approval to proceed, then nothing happens.
- connecting Arduino UNO: same result
- the examples directory contains .mcc files:
example-default-plane-v6.1
example-jeehell-datapipe
example-tutorial-7-segment
mobiflight-in-action-episode-1
tutorial-episode2
but I'm not sure how or when they come into play,

I guess a reinstall would't hurt. It has not been a installation as usual: there was no feedback during the installation process, the directories and files were created and that was it, no trace in Program Files (x86).

Regards,

Luc

Hey Luc,

be so kind and use the Arduino MEGA. This one is supported. UNO has been experimental and is no longer supported.
The MEGA is well supported. You can also use a chinese clone of it.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Just for my understanding: is launching the Arduino software a prerequisite to launching MF Connector? Shouldn't anything happen after launch, like displaying a MF banner or a error message of some sort?

Thank you,

Luc

Hi Luc,

normally the Arduino IDE is not necessary. You need it only if you make the upload to the MEGA.
To config you Sim-hardware you only need MobiFlight. To use it with the sim you need FSUIPC in the latest V4.x. V5.x is for P3DV4

MobiFlight, FSUIPC and FSX should be on the same PC (normally). If you seperate it on an other PC you additionally need WideFS.

Hi Guys....

Maby a little misunderstanding.....

Stephan is right.... UNO is just experimental.... Leonardo ??..... I overread that part in your first request.... Not know the chipset of Leonardo.... But i think its NOT supported, too.
So please use the recommend Arduino MEGA ( or clones) for your project !

BUT

Whatever your right, too.... The Software starting problem is not based on used board, installed Arduino IDE or something else...... If Mobiflight Connector not start ( also in Admin Mode) then there is a software problem on your System ! ( If you never start it before there also can not be a wrong mcc file in the cache)

Myself i use "Win7 64 Prof" and Mobiflight work fine..... Lots of Users here work with WIN10 and have no problems.
As you said... it work on your laptop with Win10, too. So you have to check your Desktop PC.
Sorry i can´t tell you whats the problem..... Maby a PlugIn that is missing. Do you ever make the AUTO Update Servicepacks e.g. by Microsoft ?
Good Luck !

Thanks to all of you!
I'll have to check my win10 system one way of the other, it's weard that everything else works. I am familiar with FSUIPC, and Arduino, I link the two with VB, but that is more cumbersome than using Mobiflight as I discovered just a few days ago.

Best regards,

Luc
