I have a mega that has been working perfectly until today. I added 4 encoders and 4 buttons one at a time. All of a sudden it doesn't work. Mobi will not start if the Mega is plugged in, and does not see the Mega if I plug it in while Mobi is running. After lots of trial and error, I've found that I have to open the Arduino environment, upload a small garbage sketch, close the Arduino environment, start Mobi, and let it upload the firmware. It functions fine until I close Mobiflight. If I close Mobi, the same situation arises. I have tried 4 different Mega boards, all have the same behavior. This is Windows 10 Pro, and I have to run Mobi in compatibility mode for Windows 8, and run as Administrator. It seems as though I really kind of started having problems after Windows 10 updated the other day.

PC is 8-core AMD with 16 gb RAM. I do have an external power supply connected to the Arduino, but it makes no difference if i disconnect that or not. I also have 2 7219 drivers connected.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
BuddyM

Fixed. I found I had an incomplete config item for an encoder. I removed that config section and all is good. Hope this helps someone else sometime, it was just my bad config.
