Hello all.
Is it possible to use Mobiflight in combination with the pmdg 737 ngx and p3d v4,
To make my own builded panels working with the arduino mega board.

Basicly Yes.

I not use P3D until now but i plan to swap in some weeks compleetly to P3D ....So i can not give you a 100% Confirm)
BUT
P3D is just a new release of the original FSX with some new features.... And PMDG alredy support P3D v3 and v4 with its B737NGX .....
Not shure if there are Problems in new release v4 ... But pretty shure they will fix issues if there are exisiting. Normaly it should work already with v4, too.

About PMDG Homecockpits....
Please Note PMDG is not a High End Solution. ( But the Best you can get for less then 100$ )

For a beginners Cockpit with some Elements like MCP, Radios, Pedestal, Overhaed,,,, Aboslutly no Problem . That work fine !
For a advanced Cockpit PMDG is already OK and will work fine ... Maby some little features are not 100% Perfect.... But already Enough for a Hobby Pilot
For a High End Simulator in the +10.000$ Class (As Real as it gets) that is used for Flight training here PMDG is maby not longer enough. Here you need a proffesional software !
Good Luck !

Yes I use P3Dv4 / PMDG737NGX and Mobilight to drive my Arduino which in turn runs my 3d printed flaps gauge.

I can confirm also. I'm near completiing a PMDG 737NGX overhead panel using nine Arduinos. I have all gauges, switches and LED's working, digital readouts for FLT ALT and LANDING ALT readouts and am curently working on the electrical readouts which I hope to complete today.

The only thing I understand Mobiflight can't currently handle are potentiometers.

Thats Right !

BUT... As i said in multible Topics here.... Mobiflight NOT block other technics !
You can simply buld your Potentiometer Inputs with another technic like LeoBodnar Boards (or if you like to save money use Arduinos with a Gamecontroller sketch)

Potentiometers are simple Joystick Axis Controlls and can be done with every HID GameController and set direct in P3D or more advanced with a reg. FSUIPC Version !
Good Luck !

Hey, can you tell us a little bit about your setup? How you got your MFDs up and running, and what MCP you use? :)

Sure Peter_Storm

The MCP is from Virtual Avionics, a Brazilian company that produces excellent quality hardware and virtual CDU devices.

http://store.virtualavionics.com.br/en/

The MCP is plug and play USB (you use their interface software). It is very high quality and matches the PMDG MCP exactly and was cheaper than most alternatives.

I also use their Virtual CDU which I run on an android tablet to mimic a real CDU.

The MFD's are "undocked" and displayed on a 10 inch HDMI monitor.

I run 3 main monitors in nvidia "surround" mode, and the 4th monitor all off the same GTX1080ti card. I have an Oculus Rift plugged into the 5th output of the video card.

The Dell monitors are 1440x900 which is enough to give the "wide" view, but keeps the overall screen size under control for FPS considerations.

The monitor stands are the perfect height to fit 2 saitek panels (or 1 saitek panel and the MCP) beneath the monitor. I enable the saitek multi panel when I'm flying other than a 737/747/777 (which the MCP supports)
