Hi

The support will work for IC2 based Displays like this.... https://www.amazon.de/AZDelivery-HD44780-Display-Schnittstelle-Anzeigen/dp/B01N3B8JMN/ref=sr_1_3?s=ce-de&ie=UTF8&qid=1502533076&sr=1-3&keywords=lcd+display

I can´t give you a exact release Date but i think it will be released next weeks with Patch 7.4. I already work with a final beta Version to test this and it looks verry nice.
Good Luck !

Hi guys:

Version 7.40 Mobiflight with LCD support has already been released. Congratulations and thank you all for this great work.

Questions:

Is there a tutorial to explain how to use LCD display? I can not find anything on the web.

I have seen that the default the release 7.40 supports 16x2 LCD. Do you also accept the 20x4 and/or more than one lcd?

Has anyone done any tests that can tell us how to use it?

Thank you all.

Hi

Apollogy that we have no time already to make a tutorial. It´s high priority on our List !

Maby Sebastian can Tell you the Limits for Size of LCD exactly.... As i know 1x16 2x16 and 4x16 is possible. i "think" ?x20 schould be possible, too but i´m not shure !

Number of Displays on ONE Arduino is limmited by the Adress. If you got 2 Displays with different Adresses then it should be possible to use . ( In my beta testing release)
Problem is that my Displays ( i got from China) are all "hardcoded" to the Same Adress. I can´t change it so i can only use 1 Display maximum
BUT If i understand right you can use One Display individual on every Arduino.... If you need 5 Displays simply use 5 Megas !

Please be patient..... We try to bring you a Tutorial as soon as possible. Please use Google at the moment. " +IC2 +Display + Arduino"
Good Luck !

Hello friends.
Pizman82: you can change easily the adress by doing some soldering in the back of the i2c module : https://www.google.com/amp/s/alselectro.wordpress.com/2016/05/12/serial-lcd-i2c-module-pcf8574/amp/

I think that we can drive more than 7 lcds with a mega but they must have different addresses.
Good luck

2 Displays are currently supported. My big display is 4x20. Are there typically bigger ones? I didn't see any on eBay.

I will try hard to provide a YouTube tutorial soon, sorry for the waiting time... but it is almost self explanatory if you have used MobiFlight before. Just give it a try.
Have a great day!
Sebastian

Hi Doc.

Is it right that Limit of 2 Displays is for ONE Ardiono ?? Or is the limit for the hole Config in MF Connector ??
I´m pretty shure its for one arduino ( so for example 40 Displays are possible with 20 Arduinos .... But this phrasing is not 100% Clear.

So please Confirm this to prevent missunderstandings......
Good Luck !
