Hello guys.

Kind of a odd question, but i need to know :)

Do any of you have MAX7219 handy ? I need to know the dimension of it, especially the LED screens. In a website, it says that 8.2 cm x 2 cm x 2 cm, is it correct ?

Any help would be perfect!

Please no Double requests in different Topics !!!

The Max Chip itself is realy small. I´´m shure you mean the Max7219 prebuild tubes .... not the Max Chip... Right ??

The Tubes are from different Companys and got different dimensions, too.
Normaly the most use 0,56 inch Diggits... this mean the 8 Diggit Display is maby 6cm x1,5 cm
The hole PCB is maby 8,2 x 1,5 x 1 . Displys with removeable Diggits are higher.... Maby 2cm

For exact dimensions you need a data sheed or you have to buy one..... There is no norm !

Remeber: If you use Tubes with removeable Displays you can wire different Diggits on it ( In dimensions you need). So you not need fixed 8 Diggits... You can use 3 Diggits for example if space is not enough for a full tube !
Good Luck !

Again slammer....

Different Companys got different dimensions... My Old Tubes are Smaller like AlbEgales........ My last order for 10 Displays on a other Network are bigger then the Displays from albeagle.... I think it´s not posible to use this data for youre Project.... Only if you order exact the same displays like the described from Albeagle.
Good Luck !

Albeagle,
can you please confirm your measurement?
I have other values: length: 78 not 87mm
4 digit tube: 30,5 instead of 35mm
distance hole to hole: 10 not 18mm
width:15 not 19mm

@ pizman: the tubes should always be 30,5 x 14 mm and the digit height is 9mm, the PCBs may vary

I have two types (blue and green PCBs) but in each case the same dimensions
