Any help appreciated......

I've had Mobiflight installed for some time, but now, when I click on the icon........nothing happens. I can't open Mobiflight Connector.......

I'm running Win 10 if that gives any leads.

Hi.
Welcome to Mobiflight !
Please note i delete youre duplicate Posting in the "Connector- Subfolder".

Youre information are a little poor to find the problem..... But maby the standard procedure will help here....

I don´t know how long youre installation is on the computer..... Maby it´s for long time and you have a configuration loaded that not work with the UptoDate Version.
Normaly a not starting Mobiflight is a indice for that.

If you know WHAT Configfile (*.MCC) is load at the moment simply delete this file..... Attention: Then the file is gone..... If you already need this Configuration for future use COPY it into a backup folder or simply RENAME it.... Important is... Mobiflight should not find the current loaded file in this folder....

Normaly then Mobiflight will go back to main Settings and load the Example File and will run.
If you need youre Config then you can try to reload it via "file-open" .... Then you have to find out what config line is bugged and repair it.

If this not help please give us more information.... What version do you got ? Is there a Error message ? Does the issue come without reason or do you make something ( Update, New Board ??? )

Please report experience.... We try to help !

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I tried renaming the configfile......no difference.

What is happening is, well, nothing. I click on the icon for Mobiflight, the mouse indicator changes like something is loading and that's it. Nothing appears on the screen, no error messages. Nothing to do with Mobiflight is listed in Task Manager.

I'm using Mobiflight 7.3.2

At present I have the Arduinos disconnected. I'll try reconnecting them and see if their is a difference now the configfile has been renamed.

Ok Graham....

Bad that first atempt not success.

by the way.... Do you try a reinstall ??? Delete the Mobiflight Folder ( Resave youre config files if needed) ..... Download a new fresh copy from the webside and install it.

( I know this is not realy helpfull support.... But most time a reinstall solve problems in a easy way.


If this not help ....Please try to open Mobiflight as Administrator ( Right click.... Open with Admin Rights )


Another try ....I now this is not verry probably... but maby this is the solution.
Get shure Mobi is NOT running "minimized" If Yes there should be no field in Task liste... Then it is just a symbol near the clock lower right ( Hope this is in win10 simmular to win7 i not own win10) .... Maby there is a arrwo symbol that include all backround Programmes. Check for this or open Task Manager (STRG ALT DEL) to see if Mobi is still running.


If this ALL not helps report then we look out for the next steps.

Thanks.......but,

Already tried reinstalling the software by deleting the Mobiflight folder and reinstalling from a fresh download.

Tried opening Mobiflight with and without Admin rights.

There's no indication of Mobiflight running minimised. There's no icons visible in the system tray, nor in the Task Manager. If I load P3D, the switches don't function, just another indication nothing is working in the background.

Mobiflight was working, just for some inexplicable reason it no longer does anything when activated......

I'm currently checking any settings in the Anti-virus software and Windows Defender. I'm pretty sure I have D:\Mobiflight listed with both to ignore......

Thanks.....just making some notes which may help others in future.

I have D:\Mobiflight listed in the exclusions for my anti-virus being ESET NOD32.

I have D:\Mobiflight listed as an exclusion for Windows Defender and I also have my UAC set to "Never notify me".....

I also notice when I click on the Mobiflight icon, MFConnector appears briefly in the Task Manager, then disappears without doing anything so far as I can determine......

Hi Graham,

if you have Mobiflight in your exclusions-list, you can delete it or grant permission to it, where the second way should be the better way.
I think this should solve your problem.

It is normal that MF briefly is in the Task-Manager if the firewall denies it the program will bekilled by your firewall...

Ok....I have Mobiflight running again.

What I did was create another separate folder for Mobiflight in a different location to the original. Ie. Instead of D:\Mobiflight t is now D:\P3D\Mobiflight

Then move your .mcc files into the new folder.....well, this worked for me anyway. Perhaps sometime in the future a few bugs may be ironed out and the software will be a little more stable. It's good, easy to use software......just a little unstable at present. Worth perservering with.....

Your Mobiflight works unstable? Which version do you use?

I use 7.3.2 and this version is very stable. I do not use every feature but the ones I'm using are very stable.

Nice to hear, its finaly working.

About stable running....

Mobiflight is a software that getting going on all the time.... There is never a "final version" at all. So. Yes there are always some little bugs coming with the new features. At the moment Mobiflight should be verry stable ( Only the whole UNO support is not runnig good and work maby for 50% ) BUT The Main Programm should work fine !
If you got problems here please report..... We try to help as quick as posible,


To youre Main Problem.....
I´m Sorry i don´t think about that...... I Never use a AntiVir, Defender or Firewall on my system for the last 25 Years . So i not think about a programm like this can create conflicts.

Maby for future problems..... Always think about the old "Sherlock Holmes" Methode......
If a Thing workes on Point 1 .... And Not working again on Point 2.... Then there MUST be some change between this Points !
If you can Exclude the Factor that you have do nothing with Mobiflight here ( No Update, No Chanching eg.) THEN another Programm must do some changing.
Think about if you install something ( Maby a Game, a New Hardware like a Joystick or if you make a Update for example in Firefox or youre Mouse Drivers )
If this all not posible then check if Windows itself make a automatic update while this time. In Youre Case maby a Security Update of Windows Defender occures in this situation.

For ME i decide to kill ALL AUTO Update functions in ALL Programms on My System. Shure i make Updates too..... But so i know when i do this manualy and i can check if my Basic Programmes get in trouble then....... So it´s easy to reset my System to the PRE Update Situation and i see direct What update occures in the Problem.

Like my old Teacher in HighSchool told.... " It´s hard to find a Problem..... But if you know the problem and the reason it it´s easy to solve " :thumbup:
