With 7.2.0 I was able to use my Arduino UNO CH340 without any problem. However with the new update 7.2.3, It tried to install firmware and now it seems as if it was MEGA but it doesn't work now. The worse issue, I can't even turn it back to 7.2.0 because it install the firmware however in the device list it shows "Unknown" there is no serial nor firmware number. I tried a new Uno ch340 with 7.2.0 again no problem. Can you help me how can I delete the Mega firmware which is mistakenly installed with 7.2.3 version? Till now I tried reset button, grounding reset pin, used Xloader to install firmware, used Arduino IDE and install exp sketch, but nothing works :(

After ALL I understood that if you are good at with your system do not UPDATE mobiflight :) :)

I am sorry to hear that your UNO is not recognized. Problem is that identifies itself only as CH340 and it is impossible to tell whether it is a UNO or Mega. Too many users have a mega instead of a Uno so I had to opt for identifying CH340 as Mega.

You can still upload the current firmware via xloader but I recommend to use Mega instead of Uno. It will be stable and reliable.
Have a great day!
Sebastian

Thank you very much Sebastian.

However, is it difficult to make a version for UNO user? You can show it as UNO and you don't put this version for main website download section. You can put this under stable topic on the forum and you can also make Uno users happy. :)

Best Regards...

Dear Sebastian,

Disregard my last transmission :)

I solved my problem.

1) I downloaded the last version 7.3.1.
2) Inside it, there is a firmware .hex file for UNO "mobiflight_uno_1_7_1.hex". I installed this firmware via XLoader.
3) I opened version 7.2.0 (The first version of Mobiflight with UNO support)
4) It worked without problem with this version.

Sorry if this Info is maby wrong....

But why do you use older Connector Version here ?

If you can upload the working firmware manualy you just can use the new 7.3.1 connector version, too...Or not ??
So you can benefit from the hotfixes and can use youre UNO , too. ( Hope thats correct)

But as Sebastian said in the "Sticky" ... He will fix the problems in the future... Hope MF is working for you as good as posible at the moment !
Good Luck !

Dear pizman82,

As Sebastian said, the last version mixes whether it is Mega or Uno CH340. However in the first version in which UNO support was added. It works without problem. I use the old version because of this :)

Thank you very much :)

Ok....
I understand the problem is still that Mobiflight see it as a Mega in way of flashing firmware.
So if you flash the firmware youreself by xloader the Uno should now known correct as Uno and work with the current version 7.3.1, too.

But basicly..... if you got a Mega, too i will recommend this.... As Sebastian told... MEGAs work more stable at the moment. Maby in some time he fixes the problems.
So... If youre Uno workes for you , then fine..... if not change to Mega if possible.
Good Luck !
