MobiFlight Community Support

I went to https://www.mobiflight.com/en/download.html and downloaded MobiFlight-Installer.exe
After I launch it, I am stuck on a Downloading screen for a while, then failiure.
Any help?

Do you mean you can not download the installer.....
OR
Does this download work.... And after you click the Installer.exe THEN a Issue occure and MF can not download its files and stuck ???

For the first point.... You must confirm " RUN or SAVE AS" ..... and if you got a Virus Defender protect may also this blocks the download in backround.
And for sure.... there can be a issue in your internet Connection or the Server ( the installer is provide) was down.

For point two.... Get sure you move the "installer.exe" into your folder you like to install MF.
NOT run it through the Firefox Dropdown or within the /users/......./download folder!



Pleas try again.... Report if problem is still current.

I was able to download installer.
When I double click and launch installer, it will show Downloading, which fails after some time.

Anyway, I went ahead and grabbed the zip file from GitHub directly (this as well was failing due to connection timeout, then I used Tor browser and that worked, I think some issue when connecting from India.)

All setup went fine, tested few fn such map zoom, pan all worked great.
I am to make a custom panel mainly with pfd/mfd functions.

May a security Problem....
Also the Installer download the needed files from GitHub Source.

We have reports in the past, that people from Turkey was not be able to download .... May in case Github is blocked by there goueverment Internet regulations.
Not sure if India also have a Problem with GitHub.

From my jobs in the past (e.g. AOL....if you remember....yes, the guys with millions of CDs on every computer magazine) i can confirm, that some hosting providers are blocking traffic from Turkey, India and many more countries when not established "clean and transparent" over http or https. E.g. FTP-Access from India on some German hosting providers will never work.

I remember and i´m gladfull these guys exist.
when i starting getting Online in the mid 90´s here on landside areas Internet was verry verry expensive.
We have to pay for a Analog Phone connection to the next LoggIn Point ( 50 km aways from me) nearly 16 DM ( 8€ Today) per Hour. Additional Internet Provider Costs of 5-6 € per hour was also required . ..... And thats with a Pocklet money of only 15 € per month as a school boy.

So i was really really thankfull AOL spent me every month a 10 Hour Free CD ... Whatever my deposit Accounts going rare in case you always need a new Bank ID for every new account in AOL. ( And thankfull my dad never understand why our phone bill was so high)

GitHub itself is not blocked in India.
Infact, I was able to reach till https://github.com/MobiFlight/MobiFlight-Connector/releases/tag/9.1.
When I clicked on MobiFlightConnector-9.1.0.zip to download, that’s when it timed out. May be network issue.
I will try this again tomorrow.

ISPs in India do block some websites (several porn sites, pirated software/movies torrent sites etc.).
But GitHub is not blocked. It could have been a network issue.

Hi. Im in my 70s and know very little about downloading. or compoters in general, i bought the MCP Panel last week but just dont know how to even get it to leven ight up.
