So I am new to using MobiFlight and so far setting up output switches is a breeze, however not so much with the Dual Encoders by PropWash.
Can't see where I'm doing something wrong, but always possible I'm missing something.
Running FS2020 on Windows 10
Latest registered version of FSUIPC 7
Latest version of MobiFlight as of 07/30/23
Arduino Mega 2560 Rev 3
Simple test with 2 encoders on same pins, same result. Usually no response, but once in a great while get a response on the inner encoder. Tried a different group of pins with same result.
I have a single encoder, non-PropWash (for HDG) that works flawlessly. Some trick to getting these PropWash encoders to work?
Also substituted a Alps EC11EBB24C03 which worked fine. Issue with these are the panel already modeled for the PropWash Encoders where the Alps is pcb mounted.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Hi Mark,
There is a dropdown box in the window where you set up the encoder. It lists 4 different types of encoders to choose from. I think the Propwash encoders were the third one from the top.
Hope this helps.

So I've removed all inputs from my Arduino 2560 and connected 2 Alps EC11EBB24C03 encoders. One works fine on both inner and outer, the second one will only log a result on the inner. If I swap the encoders I get the same results, so should be nothing wrong with the encoders. Is there some other step or config that I'm missing to get these to work reliably?
I reconfigured for the ALPS, restarted the 2560 with no success. Validated connections are good. Tried with and without external 5v power to the 2560. Sometimes acts like the 2560 unable to read the interrupts or signals of the 2nd encoder specifically on the 2nd outer.
