Hey.
My current kit at home for flying is Joystick, throttle and rudders. I would like to purchase an MCDU from 737 but the prices are very high. I was looking on ebay in uk then prices of nice replicas are from 500 pounds which is high price at least for my budget. I am fierce and if I put something up for myself no matter how long it takes I will eventually achieve it.

I decided to build my own, I'm completely unfamiliar with electronics so I started learning the complete basics from few days.

However, I would like to get some advice and find out if by any chance my idea is not too farfetched. I would like to know your opinion on the subject.

The idea is to design my own PCB (order) for the keyboard, to this order a suitable 4-5 inch screen and print in a 3D printer the case. I would like to use an arduino. I would like to use USB-C to connect to the computer with the ability to transfer the image to the screen and control it with the keyboard. So I would like windows to see the device as a screen but also I guess a keyboard that I can bind ? I don't know if this is something that can be achieved and what programs to use for this on windows.

What is your opinion and can it be achieved this way ?

Hi,
Have you tried XPlaneCDU android app?
If you have some old tablet, you can use it in 5 minutes.
I know it is soft touches and not buttons with MF.
Just the way I use it, which was a big step forward compared to the mouse clicking version.

Do you know that you can simplify: if($=1,0,1) ?
Use simply: 1-$ :)
