Hi,

We got an old computer in the flying club to keep the kids busy while on the ground :) the computer is quite old but running FS9 like a charm, the OS is the good old Win XP 32 bits. Was looking to plug some radio modules with mobiflight but when trying to run MFConnector.exe, it says that it is not a win32-application
Is there an old version of mobiflight that we can use on this win XP 32 bits ? or is there a trick to run the current version on this old system ?
Thanks in advance,

Steeve

it's not about 32-bit because MobiFlight still is built as 32-bit exe.

  • XP is not supported anymore by Microsoft. SSL Certificates are also not updated anymore. MobiFlight cannot be installed automatically on WinXP because you cannot open Github anymore. You can use a second computer and download the latest release from Github manually. Save it on a thumb drive and then extract the zip file on your old XP machine.
  • Additionally, MobiFlight requires a newer .NET version. This could be installed manually.

Please do yourself a huge favor and upgrade your computer hardware. An XP machine with internet access is an actual security thread for your entire network.
Have a great day!
Sebastian
