Dear friends,
I recently bought 5 TM1637 MAX7219 Modules with the willing to use them with arduino mega and mobiflight.
I followed the dedicated tutorial (eg display of COM1 frequency) but none of the 5 is working properly.
Sometimes, using the display test button I'm able to see the "123.45" pattern once, but after that nothing works and the display is off forever.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance

Peter

Hi Peter,

First of all, welcome to MobiFlight!

I'm sure you're making a serious mistake:
The TM1637 has absolutely nothing to do with the MAX7219.

In this respect, you've obviously been taken in by a joker who claims to have sold a module with both a TM1637 and a MAX7219.

The TM 1637 is a stand alone 8 segment * 6 bit common anode LED driver.
The MAX7219 is also a stand alone driver for 8 segments * 8 bits but for common cathode.

Combining both on one PCB would be the latest I've heard. However, there is no data sheet on the Internet for this either, while you can very well get individual data sheets for the two chips mentioned above.

So you should repackage your 5 modules and send it back to your seller and exchange it for MAX7219 modules or get your money back.

Currently, MobiFlight can only control the MAX7219. As far as I know, whether and when MobiFlight can control the TM1637 is in the stars.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask them here or use the link above and join our Discord community.
Grüße,
Stephan (Time: UTC+2)
