Just recieved new displays from Ebay, still no luck... They are all common cathode.

I am so sorry to hear that, but it really has to do something with your wiring if a pre-wired module works correctly

i orden before max 7219 display module to link2fs and now use 8 digit board whit mobi common cathode and working fine, were ebay i found only board nit 7-segmen 8 digit i need com-nav radio only 5 digit display ?
5 digit/radio fregfensy.
com1 max+12345 and nav1 max+12345
com2 need max+12345 and max+12345
ap need ?
were have diy board ? can add only 5 digit 7-segment,
i found only diy kit 8 digit or led matrix board diy kit.

today my project working fine, how there can add photo ?
ok, i use max 7219 led matrix board and 4 digit 7-segment + 1 digit 7-seg display (all 5 digit to radio panel)
first sloden flat cable at led matrix board 8+8 wire, then looking what pin has 7-segment all .
ABCDEFG and common cathode drive ewery digit on/of.
and soldering B and C digit wire to 1 digit display.
ready test whit MF and working fine.
first make new connection mega board display and add pin numbers (i use arduino pin 23,25,27
, then name to display confic com1 standby(etc,)
then go FSUIP tab, and use what you want show, etc, com 1 standby.
then go display tab and use 5 digit, and 3 dot point. (or 4 digit if you use only 4 number)
ok,and save, and test run must be show 12345. ready, start fsx and test ,working fine.

reply, first time i test display has wrong side all numbers 54321 but solden wires new d1,d2,d3,d4 to d4,d3,d2,d1 and working right side, 12345.

i use this board my 7 -segment and use 4 digit display

up row have d1,C,E,d4,dp,d2,F,G
down row have d3,d6,D,d8,B,A,d7,d5
i connect d1,2,3,4,5
and ofcourse all ABCDEFG
and 1 digit segment solden to d5,B,C =show only number 1.
radio nav panel not need more number first digit,
displau 4-digit come connect to solden , up row d4,A,F,d3,d2,B
down row have E,D,dp,C,G,d1
d1234 have common cathode all max 7219 display.
this pin made segment working.
ABCDFEG made display led working.
wery simple made to board and use.

1 digit connect to only d5 and B,C to board.
4 digit connect to all.
first test i connect wrong side d1234 and show numbers 4321
but change pins and show now 1234.
8-digit 7-segment have all same, use 7-segment board or led matrix board all have same, only need looking what pin have right.
then need only made many display and connect to arduino Din ,sc,clock. ready
and all 5v power and gnd together external power supply because arduino not can give lot amperes to many board.

use 1 digit or 8 difgit all working same, ABCDEFG show you led =numbers.(have 1 led one segment to digit)
and d1,d2,3,4,5,6,7 show you segment if d1 ON show only number this segment, 1 digit, if d1 and 2 show 2 digit etc,etc,(have common cathode all max 7219)
