Hi guys

after taking a year or two out of flight sim, I decided to get back into again, I ran a test flight in P3d V5.3 with no issues, so I started updating everything. I'm now running the latest version of Mobiflight, (big changes I see :)) I ran the installer with Admin rights etc and got the message to update my fireware which I did, but it keeps failing on 1. I've attached log below

iconcpp-qt:

I've checked in my hardware settings and everything in Device Manager looks fine, no issues, I ran mobi in test mode, and everything appears to be working, all the lights are flashing as expected. If I goto Mobi Boards, the board in questions has "unknown" next to it. I've checked my cables and no issues, windows reports it as working properly.. I'm stumped

In rare cases firmware flash can be problematic.
I explore this also when i flash a new firmware to a board thart have a very outdated version ( years old)

Same workarround like in the past....
Make a EEPROM CLEAR by the Arduino IDE..... Then Start MF and let it flash the board.
Mostly this solve the problem.
NOTE: Your settings are gone. Hopefully you have a MFMC File for Backup !
Good Luck !

Hi Sim-fans,

Are there any other options? I run into the same issue. I tried the option writen below and stil it came up with the error during the flashing...
