I've run into a weird problem. I have a Mega 2560 Clone board (from YWRobot). It has a FT232RL usb chip.

And I have to reset/replug the board multiple time to successfully upload the firmware. And once I exited Mobiflight and restart, It became unknown again.

The board works with all peripherals, and once reflashed the firmware, the config showed up (without the need to reupload).

I am just wondering, if this is a problem with the board or not.

Thanks

Strange thing.

I would get sure you have correct drivers.
I have no experience with this special controller.
All my Clones work with stock Arduino driovers or CH340 drivers.
Good Luck !

I've now tried with the genuine Mega 2560 and the Mega 2560 Pro (with CH340G), both have the similar experience.

I've ran out of ideas of debuging it. My PC is running Windows 11, would this potentially be the problem?

The log was simply `ExitCode: 1 => Something went wrong when flashing with command` even I changed log level to debug

Do you test all the Boards via the same Connector ?

A know problem is the "Cable" and "Port" Factors.

E.g. i got a Mega that work fine when i connect it direct to PC USB Ports.... And also on my USB Splitter.... But it not work on my USB extension cable. But only that one Mega.... Other Megas (different brands) work fine on that cable.

Also known is that the cheap (mostly blue) USB Cables that are deliverd with the Megas are buggy.

*********

So i recommend....
Please try to change for testing your cable managment. Connect the boards directly to PC.... Change the used USB Port e.g.
Change the used Cable if you got multiple ones.
Good Luck !
