Hello,
I am trying to setup my engine dials but i continuously fail.
I have connected mega2560 and successfully flashed the movie flight Firmware.
The Modul Checks green status and the flight simulator also.
I can see the read out in the screen from the values from flight simulator and they change accordingly to my Joystick inputs.
When I set up a Servo and run the test it would not go as if there is no power to the servo at all.
Measured 5 volts at the servo.
Testet eleven new servos already and 2 mega 2560 boards.

I am really helpless at this point.

It is advised when this test doesn't run Check cable connections which I did a 100 times now but that's not the problem

Okay I found out that when I use the power source from the board it works!
I am using an external power source but for some reason it will not work at all like that.
But the Mega 2560 is limited to 500mA which is not enough because I need at least 20 servos 75mA each.
Why does the board not accept external power for the servos?
Does anyone know?

Ok now it even doesn't work with board Power anymore. Even with the second board.
I measured all cables for continuity and they are ok. There is just no signal sometimes

Its pretty hard to follow that situation without see it and without have a chance to do testings.

Please if possible join DISCORD. There we can make a personal seasson with Voice (Headset) and shared screen.

If we see whats wrong we can pretty sure solve it !

Whatever i can give you short help also here....

NOT power the Megas external. This make no sense. Also the Mega limitation will not allow multiple Servos whatever board is powerd external.
Limit of Board is 800mA Max.

Simply power your Servos external.....

The Mega is powerd and connected just with USB.... All your servos are set to the Mega.... BUT The 5V and GND for the servos come from a external Power supply.
Just get sure the GND from the Powersupply is connected to a GND Pin of the Mega where you connect the Data Lines of the Servos.
All Elements in the whole cokcpit need to share the same GND potential !

I managed that all the servos Test now fine.
But when I run the simulator only four of the eight will follow the flight simulator data.

The sim values are correctly indicated in the mobiflight Software and they change with inputs.

I used multiple sim variables now but all same outcome.

Do you power external meanwhile ?

If not its logical.
While Test Mode you just use 1 servo at a time. For one the Power is fine with the Mega .
If you press RUN then all 8 Servos work same time and here its far above the limits.

I power the servos externally.
Mega powered only through USB.
4 of 8 work fine. Although wrong direction.
