Mit der Version 9.5.0 hat man die austauschbare Strepper…(Doppel-)Belegung z.B.

PIN 1: 7
PIN 2: 7
PIN 3: 6
PIN 3: 6

zunichte gemacht! Lässt sich nicht mehr manuell belegen, insofern man ganz klar, wie in diesem Beispiel, die 7 bereits belegt hat. Ging vorher mit der Taste ENTF., sprich entfernen. Es kam dann zwar die Meldung, dass die 7 bereits belegt wurde, ging aber trotzdem! Nun eben nicht mehr. Sollte das weiterhin nicht mehr gehen bzw. zu lösen sein, kann das Tutorial auch raus, denn macht dann keinen Sinn mehr.

Aktuell lassen sich somit alle x27 und x40 Stepper nicht nutzen. Schade!!!

I discovered this the other day. I've found a workaround until this is fixed. You can only have three motors on a single arduino (compared to the 6 previously).
So if the config gives pins are 2,3,4,5 accept this but only use pins 2 & 4 for your step and direction on the easy driver board. 3 and 5 are wasted and can't be used which unfortunately halves the number of X27/x40 gauges.
I've done some tests and it appears to work okay.

sure it works but i have more than enough gauges and for that kind of solution i should need more boards and that i don’t want to do. Perhaps there‘ll come the solution like before!

Sicherlich funktioniert das, habe aber mehr als genug Anzeiger/ Instrumente und für diese Art der Lösung bräuchte ich noch weitere Boards, habe ich aber nicht vor. Vielleicht gibt es ja die Lösung wie diese bevor!

At FIRST:
Maybe my informations are not correct.... So i need some confirmations from you guys!

1. Changes.
I wonder why you say since 9.5.
Yes, we change the posibility by intent to no longer allow ( in the GUI) to set 2 Pins double like you want to do.... BUT we permit this already versions ago.
So also with 9.3 or 9.4 this "should" not be possible already!
From my current point i wonder why 9.5 should change something here.


2. Max Numbers of Motors....

You can only have three motors on a single arduino (compared to the 6 previously).

Also like in Point 1.... "As i know" there was no change of Max Number. Whatever you use 2 or 4 Pins in the past.... The number of Maximum Devices of typ "Stepper" was always the same. By combine the 2 Pins you save "Pins" but you not increase the allowed Number of Motors!


3. Workarround.
Again as i know the logic is still possible.... The Problem itself is the GUI.
to prevent users of set e.g. 2 LED to the same Pin by fault we have build a Interface where a Pin is no longer selectable if its still in use in a other Device/spot.
We can cheat this system by make the entry directly in the code!

ToDo....

1. Create a Motor.... Give it a Name and use the predefined Pins.... E.g. 5-6-7-8
Save this Device Setting to a MFMC File ( Save Icon in the Settings/Mobiflightboard Dialog ) Same as you would make a backup.

2. Open that MFMC File with a Text Editor.
There you see the Motor Device and also the used Pins.
Now simply Change the Pin Numbers so you no longer have e.g. 5-6-7-8 ... Build at like 5-5-7-7

3. SAVE the MFMC File with the Text Editor.

4. Start Mobiflight.... Go to settings - Mobiflight Modules - and choose for the needed Mega.
Then "LOAD" the mfmc File and without open or click on a device press UPLOAD!

By this technic you upload the file in current state ( edited in the way you like)
For sure.... If you click on the Motor Config before the GUI will see the wrong selection and it can give a issue.

Correct. Haste freilich recht. Bei den vorherigen bereits geänderten MF Versionen kam ich nicht zum Testen. Der Zusammenbau mittels der EasyDriver Boards erfolgte weit vorher. Nun frag mich nicht welche Version das nun war, bei der das noch ging. Müsste mal schauen wann ich das Tutorial erstellt habe.

Da ich alles wie in einem früheren Post gepinnt, neu installiert und aufgesetzt habe, kamen nun die Gauges mit EasyDriver bei. Zudem aufgrund von Platzgründen ausgetauscht. Das mit einer direkten Änderung in der mfmc leuchtet mir ein, kam aber ehrlich gesagt nicht drauf darin selbst rumzuschrauben.

Vielleicht kann man einen Hinweis beim online-Tutorial setzen oder man nimmt es ganz raus. So passt alles soweit. Danke.

We will offer a new Device Typ in the next ( or one of the next) Versions.
Then MF allow to define 2 Type of Stepper Motors.....
One with 4 Pins ( as the current one)
and
Another one with 2 Pins as you need.

For now the MFMC Workarround need to be the way you go !

sounds very good. Hört sich sehr gut an. Gute Idee. Dennoch keinen Stress. Eilt nicht und insgesamt läuft der MFConnector einwandfrei. Zumal wird hier der immense Aufwand und Fleiß bei Programmierung - Updates nebst dem fortwährenden Support m.E. viel zu wenig gewürdigt. Zumal das alles null Cent kostet. Wo gibt es das heute noch?! Hierfür Danke an Alle, die zur Unterstützung beitragen!! Wie gesagt keinen Stress wegen den Steppern. Geht so auch erst einmal.

Peter, könnte Dir mal ein Bild zukommen lassen - vom Gesamtwerk, wenn die Freenetadresse noch aktuell ist.

Sounds very good. Very cool. Good idea. No stress. Don't rush and overall the MFConnector runs awesome. Especially since the immense effort and diligence in programming updates along with the ongoing support is, in my opinion, less appreciated. Especially since it costs zero cents. Where you can get this today?! Thanks to everyone who contributes to the support!! As I said, no stress about the Steppers. That's how it works for now.

Der beste Weg für Bilder ist DISCORD!
Seit dem wir damit arbeiten mach ich per Mail keinen support mehr.
Das war damals halt nur der Weg weil hier keine Bilder komfortable upgeloaded werden könnne.


Dortauf Discord kannst es dann auch mit der Community teilen.

Perfekt. Awa, ging lediglich um 1 bzw. 2 Bilder damit man eine ungefähre Vorstellung hat. Somit auch kein Support oder was auch immer darüber. Discord ist schon ne coole Kiste, habe eben aber mal die AGB gesichtet / Datenkrake. Für 1-2 Bilder lohnt sich das so nicht. Und der Welt muss ich es nicht teilen. Wenn ich dazu komme, donner ich die mal an die „alte“ freenet adresse. Ist ja auch nicht wichtig.

Kommt mit V10 oder geht’s scho?

Hab’s noch ned getestet…gerade nen LCD Displ. abgeraucht! Erst waren nur noch 16 x 2 bei einem 20 x 4 möglich, komplettes 2560 rausgeflogen, dann nicht mal mehr 16 x 2. Ab in den Müll. 1,5 J. tadellos funktioniert.

So long
