I have MobiFlight for use with FSX for LED lighting for My 737ngx overhead, can I use the same download, Arduinos and wiring for MSFS? Or do I have to do something different?

Yes and No :-)

Hardware is the same. So Arduinos, wirework and Devices like LED and Swtiches will work 100% the same.
Also the Software (Mobiflight) is the same.
Since Version 9.x we are compatible with FS2020! And for sure the older Sims work same way as in the past also with the newset versions !

What about the "No" ....

FS2020 use lots of new things.
If you use your "old" Configs from FSX you would need at first FSUIPC7 for FS2020.... Cause in the past we use FSUIPC as interface. So your Configs would also need this.
Take care.... Offsets maybe change. So no garantee that the Offsets of FSX also work 1:1 in FS2020. Maybe there are new ones.

At the end you should also think about a rework.... Cause meanwhile we no longer have to use FSUIPC.... We got our own Simconnect Interface !

******
Result:
You just have to rework your old Config file ( or better make a new one) and set it to the new FS2020 Commands !
Good Luck !

Thank for the reply. I know you use Arduino cards, is mobiflight compactible with Leo Bodnar cards, due to my overhead using 7 cards for all toggle switches and rotary switches?

Yes it is.

A LeoBodnar is technical just a HID Controller.... Means its seen like a Joystick with Buttons.

Mobiflight can see Joysticks and you can use them as Imput source same like a button on a Arduino.
Good Luck !

Hi pizman, just a follow up to my message. I have managed to get all rotary's, push buttons and toggle switches to work with mobiflight. there are a couple that can not work due to pmdg but for the most part all is working, i have even manage to get all gages working also, took a little time with flaps though, changing values but did manage to get it working, I figured out that i needed to uncheck transform. No fsuipc was used also, all mobiflight, so thks for this program. :) :P B) :w00t:

Nice to hear.....

AddOns (like PMDG) are always a little challange for us.... Cause they not work always as normal aircrafts do.

E.g. PMDG not use normal Inputs.... It work with EventID(P3D) and the "Rotor Brake Bypass" in FS2020.

We try to provide a solution all time.... But sometimes its needed some time till we figure out.

So specially for PMDG we looking forward to implement also a new interface that cover the last 5% of In/Out that we currently not be able to handle.
Good Luck !

Good afternoon pizman, morning for me here in the states, so i tried to us fsx with PMDG this am and noticed when checking mobiflight that all my base settings in fsuipc offsets were gone! does this have something to do with me loading msfs 2020 offsets? it seems all fsuipc offsets have been put back to default Oxoooo! even though the switches, rotarys and so on still function, Leds also still work on overhead but will not communicate with PMDG. So I'm guessing that Mobiflight can not be used with FSX and MSFS. Is there some way to have 2 Mobiflights on the same PC?:w00t: :-/

Sorry.... I not understand....

The UI of Mobiflight is global.... No change whatever sim you use....
E.g. when you use FSX then also all FS2020 Tools and Presets are there.... They are just not useable in case you not use FS2020 that time.

Also the PMDG Stuff is fully seperated... We have the "old" PMDG Inputs ( Event ID for FSX/P3D) and on a other tab we have the FS2020 Inputs via WASM
Same for the Outputs.... Here there are no Presets and for FSX/P3D you choose for Offsets yourself by hand....
FS2020 otherwise have the known Presets via WASM again.

So "Offsets" can not be reset.... Cause they will never change !

*****
Maybe i missunderstand you....
For sure...
If you got e.g. a Config for the Flight Director LED and it use a Offset in the past....
If you rework it while your FS2020 Testings and change it to a FS2020 Variable and save it.... Sure. Then the old Offset is gone cause you by hand choose for something new.

So... please tell me more specific what is the basic problem !
Good Luck !

If you like to handle MF for both.... the Old FSX/P3D PMDG and the new FS2020 one....
Most easy way is to use 2 Files....
But you not need to build them from scratch.

Simply use the FSX File..... Make it perfect for the old stuff.
Save it!
Then Press "Save As" and give it a new name like FS2020PMDG.mcc
Means from now you have 2 Files.

All you need to do now is change every single config in the new file to the needed FS2020 Variables.

At the end you chosse what Sim you like to use today and simply load the old or the new file, whatever you need a.t.m.
Good Luck !
