I am very new to Mobiflight. When following the LED park brake tutorial i get on great until i get to naming the park brake and then pressing the edit ...
Then i get this config wizard not the config wizard i was expecting and not the same as the tutorial.
Please help. I do have a snapshot of the Config wizard but i dont know how to upload it onto this page.

Thank you.
Marty.

Hi

Apollogy for that.... But the Tutorial for Parking Brake Switch and LED are way way Outdated. Meanwhile Mobiflight get a lot if new tools and features.... And also the GUI change a lot.

I recommend to use our Youtube Tutorials. Also those are often not up to date with current GUI but they are just sime months old and much more actual.

Whatever.... The basic Idea of Mobiflight have never changed.
E.g. the "Multiply" Field from the tutorial no longer exist.... But on same locartion there is a field call Transform. ( Where we can do much more math like in the past).
But its still the same if you handle it like in the guide.

Also the Output Window changed a lot....
In the past there was just FSUIPC Offset. So there was no alternates.
Today we have FS2020, Xplane, Mobiflight Var and still FSUIPC Offset....
So simply click on FSUIPC on the Top and you will see .... then the GUI looks much more like in the old tutorial.

So.... Not get scarred.
Try out. In base it work still same like years ago.
AND
Check out for newer videos in our channel or from other users.... Simply search "Mobiflight" in Youtube and set Time to 1 Year.
Good Luck !

We know this is a bad situation..... But at the end the software and community grow up faster as we expect.....

We all in the team have real life jobs and familiy .... So Mobiflight is not a company.... its a freeware hobby project.
So whatever we planed for new tutorials all the time..... Doing support, coding new features and a lot more is always more important.

And as you already find out yourself.... Its a never ending thing.... Whatever if we would rework al tutorials to current state..... In 1 Year with again new features they are outdated again!

Also the "basic thoughts" of users have changed.... There is just a small number of users who read manuals and check tutorials....
Most use "try and error" or just watch Youtube Guides. So its pretty hard to find time and motivation to make tutorials or to write guides who basically are not used by most of the community.
Simple example..... I got every week 2-3 Questions that are explaned already since 9 Years in the FAQ.... Means most users never read them !

BUT!!!!!

Feel free to join our team.
Contact us on Discord if you like. If you want to contribute.... e.g. make some screenshots and rework the old "Parking Brake Tutorial" to newest version.
We are happy for every support !
Good Luck !
